Akylore User Info... | OK....so I occasionally run into a few American black metal bands (eg Black Witchery) here and there. I had run into this band about a year or two ago in an article in Unrestrained. I finally had the opportunity to take a chance on this band, by, of course, running into this album at Scrape records. Yup....cold, minimalistic black metal that even the eilitests will appreciate. I got a kick out of the part of the insert that said: "We can assure you that there has been absolutely no digital editing on any of these tracks in order to preserve the original, extremely raw sound we had intended on these tracks." And preserve they did. This album has some rash movements in it that seem to build on me, despite the fact that it's minimalistic. The vocals are very coarse and evil as well....ah, fuck, whatever man. I'm not gonna write so much about how amazing it is...if you're into this style of music, just buy the fucking thing. They currently just finished a live American tour with Sunn as well....dammit I gotta get my criminal situation with the USA figured out... - Fri, 30 Dec 2005 12:29am | ||
