The One After Two User Info... | meh... I was at Ditch to buy Sufjan's Michigan and Wolf Parade's single was like $5. Upsale. Never heard the band before, just read the hype. Not bad for five bucks!. The disc is four songs with the first two coming off the upcoming Apologies to the Queen Mary LP... and I guess a couple B-sides. I like "Shine a Light"(track one) and "Disco Sheets"(track three). Sort of indie scenester rock ala Arcade Fire or anything on Subpop or Merge. Pretty music makes my heart swell two sizes. Sufjan, by the way, is A-O-K. - Mon, 5 Sep 2005 12:06pm
Kris User Info... | I think this is the weakest of the three wolf parade eps thus far. i like track 2 "you are a runner and i am my fathers son". it reminds me of "dinner bells" off their tour ep. its track one on the forthcoming full length i believe so that is good. this ep is nothing exciting though and i hope the new album (which has rerecorded versions of some of my favorite older wolf parade songs a well as some new wolf parade) kicks its ass. and just so you know wolf parade actually have the arcade fires ex. bass player (maybe why they have similar tendencies??? still not a bad single. - Mon, 5 Sep 2005 2:06pm
The One After Two User Info... | hey Kris, On the sticker they put on the package... it said something about these guys being West Coast boys outta Montreal... I think it said something like that. Do you know what that is about? Listening to "My Father's Son" right now. Good track. - Mon, 5 Sep 2005 6:48pm
