Jaron Evil User Info... | Holy Fucking Christ!! If thrash metal is your thing, then Kreator's latest release, Enemy Of God, is essential and mandatory for your collection. Let me explain... Kreator is one of those bands that are just incapable of puting out a bad release. And this new album is by far their best. I didn't think they'd be able to top their previous release "Violent Revolution", but lo and behold, "Enemy Of God" blows it out of the water. Kreator are still the kings of thrash, but this album also incorperates a lot of melodic death metal into it, but tastefully so. They are not attempting to switch styles of metal, though they are obviously attempting to top their previous releases. Unlike bands like METALLICA and IN FLAMES, Kreator has never sold out, or attempted to go for a more mainstream sound. They are still intense thrash, and if one thing has changed for them over the years, its that their talent has become more and more evident on their albums. "Enemy of God" is the epitome of that statement....for now. Their next one will probably top this one. Your thoughts? \m/ - Wed, 9 Mar 2005 2:24am
wordsaredumb User Info... | "incapable of puting out a bad release" I don't know about that. Kreator have had there ups and downs, but I agree this album was a pleasent surprise. Great song writing that still has an edge too it that most metal bands lose after an album or two. Worth purchase for sure. - Wed, 9 Mar 2005 10:21am

Nothingface User Info... | In Flames sold out....If you dont know what you are talking about then dont speak or you look silly. - Sun, 13 Mar 2005 3:41pm
Jaron Evil User Info... | You should heed your own advice asshole. In Flames used to rule, and anyone whose heard the album "Reroute To Remain" will know that they have changed musical directions. That album sounds more like a suped-up System Of A Down. Basically its shit, and everything thats come after it has been shit. - - Sun, 13 Mar 2005 6:06pm
Nothingface User Info... | Changing musical direction does not imply selling out...Nor does writing music you think is total shit.Do you actually think that "Reroute" sounds anything like System of a Down? They are so far apart on the metalscale Im not sure??? You started a thread to review the new Kreator album ( which I cant wait to hear ) so stick to it but not by using your own personal opinions on certain bands. Im not an asshole either I just cant stand people always using In Flames as an out. Ya there is no doubt their new direction has left alot of people shaking their heads but remember what you and everyone was saying about them ( if your old enough ) when they were on top of the world with Colony and Clayman?? I would have to agree with you when you say that Metallica did sell out. - Mon, 14 Mar 2005 9:58am
Mr. Hell User Info... | I was never a big In Flames fan. In fact most of that Nu-Swedish metal {except Soilwork} doesn't do a whole lot for me. Very samey to my old man ears. But In Flames and SOAD are quite far apart. For me, Kreator will always be 'Extreme Aggression' and 'Betrayer'. First Kreator songs I heard. I will check this album out soon though. Hope it's not like present day Pig Destroyer. Man, did they ever sell-out! Too bad Nothingface melted. They were a great band. - Tue, 15 Mar 2005 5:22pm
wordsaredumb User Info... | are In Flames even relevant to metal these days? I remember video taping Betrayer off the power hour and watching it over and over again. ahh the good ole days. These days I just watch "other" german videos over and over again. - Tue, 15 Mar 2005 7:56pm

The Other Nick User Info... | I am an in flames fan...but it is nearly impossible to defend them after putting out reroute to remain and soundtrack to your escape. If they'd only done the fans of their old stuff a favor and changed their name after Clayman (the last album before reroute to remain)... About Kreator.....never heard anything by 'em. Where should i start? Who do they sound like? - Wed, 16 Mar 2005 9:03pm
Jaron Evil User Info... | THANK YOU SHAWN!! Finally someone said it like it is. And in response to Nothingface, isn't the idea of changing music directions to gain more popularity leading to making more money the very definition of selling out? - - Wed, 16 Mar 2005 9:05pm
Lordpatch User Info... | kreator are still together? seriously? yeah extreme Aggro i guess. it was good really? still? kreator? how about the chicano speed metal dudes? death angel? they still around? kreator? really? - Wed, 16 Mar 2005 10:17pm
