Kris User Info... | I just picked up this new disk a few days ago and I think its a really good album. I am a huge adam green (and moldy peaches) fan, and the ex peach has put out three great solo cds out now. His first I really enjoyed (with its dirty unpolished folk songs) but got shut down by alot of reviewers, his second took a ballad approach (complete with an orchestra) and almost got him famous with "Jessica", and this new album takes a whole new direction with a lounge/cabaret feel. Its really a great disk. I really like the title track "Gemstones" as it takes tempo and mood changes faster than a car (lame metaphor). "Choke on a cock" is a political attempt, insulting everyone from george bush to johnny depp. and "Carolina" is adam greens signature filthy song on the album rhyming Carolina with...well I guess you can figure it out. All and all its a great disk, and adam greens quirky lyrics and echoey voice still make him the same adam green despite a new experiment. - Tue, 1 Feb 2005 10:50am | ||
