| Nik Olaz User Info... | If you like stoner metal, without the heshed out vocals with pot references, you'll like Pelican. They blend a form similar to early Black Sabbath, with a more modern/earthy feel to it. This band is mainly instrumental (with one track featuring a vocalist but he's not an actual member), with very nice structuring to their songs. Each track is epic and compelling, building a dense sonic scape that leads you further into the track. Overall I give this a 4.5/5, totally great stuff. - Thu, 19 Aug 2004 2:08am | ||
