The Other Nick User Info... | Shallow Melodic Black Metal. Damn, did i pick the wrong Naglfar album. This thing sucks. "Oh look at me! i can tremolo pick the E minor scale for 59:24 min", and "RIFF ON ACOUSTIC x4, SAME RIFF BUT ON ELECTRIC! x10000 FOR EVERY SONG" The sad part is, Naglfar does indeed have some good songs, unfortunately, none are on this album. \m/ - Mon, 5 Jul 2004 6:39pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | yeah naglfar is nothing special. - Mon, 5 Jul 2004 7:14pm
Perpetual_Burn User Info... | Pick up Sheol. Much better in my opinion(and everyone elses). If you dont wanna buy it email me and I'll send it to you or something. Sheol is a wicked CD. - Tue, 6 Jul 2004 8:45pm
Akylore User Info... | 'Vittra' is on my top 10 of all time! I love this album!!! But then again it's more melodic than brutal, 'Sheol' has a way more thrashy sound to it.... - Sat, 17 Jul 2004 12:42am
The Other Nick User Info... | Sorry there Adrian, but i just dont see it. Maybe if you could highlight some of the better tracks, i will examine them a bit closer. I find myself humming a few riffs from this cd on occasion, but i still don't really see whats so good about it....or something - Sat, 17 Jul 2004 11:18am
Sandor User Info... | So far nothing I have heard by Naglfar has impressed me much. There nothing revelutionary like Veneficum. But as we all know the most kvlt of all the black metal is by far Cradle of Filth. Dani Filth is just so troo. There Slayer/Iron Maiden covers definetly kicked a lot of ass too. - Sun, 18 Jul 2004 8:51pm
Akylore User Info... | I'm partial to "Enslave the Astral Fortress," that has a wicked guitar solo (something that's not present very often in black metal-not that I look for solo work much in black metal mind you.) I like this album because it's melodic and atmospheric though, similar to why I listen to bands like Agalloch I guess...it's definitely not for every "true" black metal fan... There's no doubt though that when "Diabolic" came out that their style totally changed though...same with "Sheol," you'd probably go nuts for those albums..."13th gate" is a wicked tune!!! - Tue, 20 Jul 2004 12:00am
