| Nik Olaz User Info... | The full title to this cd is: "It's A Shame That A Family Can Be Torn Apart By Something As Simple As A Pack Of Wild Dogs" taken from the SNL character Jack Handy. This three piece from Syracuse, NY combines some of the most intense/grind/tech noise you'll ever hear from a band that considers themselves "Hardcore punk rock". They have no lead vocalist, the duties of the screaming are all divided up amongst the band. The production is outstanding, you can hear everything going on, the bass guitar is nicely up front. Also there are some nice samples taken from the movie Donnie Darko which are pretty neat. The album artwork is pretty lush, with nails contrasting with leafs, it adds to the atmosphere of the disc. There are some rather interesting liner notes to go along with the lyrics, with one such as "Remember just because it doesn't sound like Minor Threat, doesn't mean it's not hardcore". The cd itself is about maybe 14 mins long with 8 songs and a Nirvana cover at the end as sort of a "secret" track.
