Doppelganger User Info... | After an absence of listening to Bowie for 20 years or so I picked this up the other week and I must say I think it's one of the best of his career.Maybe it's the Visconti factor? - Sat, 13 Mar 2004 6:03am
KnifeGhost User Info... | Certainly the Visconti factor...... - Sat, 13 Mar 2004 7:47am
[+} User Info... | it is a great record. - Sat, 13 Mar 2004 8:02am
Fred the Dragon User Info... | Best of his career is a stretch, but still a great album. Saw him live in Vancouver... one of the best show's I've seen. It got me thinking though... what has Bowie done to keep himself cool and hip? Guys like McCartney, Elton John and Sting all seemed to grow up,become "uncool", and start pandering to housewives. What did Bowie do to remain relevant? - Sun, 14 Mar 2004 8:12am
KnifeGhost User Info... | What Bowie did was fucking rule.... I think it's cause he's always changing his sound and doing weird shit.... Sometimes it works, sometimes less so..... Remember Earthling? Would Paul McCartney ever do an electronic album? - Sun, 14 Mar 2004 12:41pm
Davescene User Info... | The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Bowie attacks boundaries and puts himself out on a limb more than any other artist. It's a great album and musically, he does not age... - Mon, 15 Mar 2004 7:31am
Doppelganger User Info... | Hello Fred the Dragon. One of his best, not THE best. - Mon, 15 Mar 2004 6:56pm
Dano User Info... | Bowie is cool. - Wed, 17 Mar 2004 12:25pm
Fred the Dragon User Info... | I beg your forgiveness... I misread. - Thu, 18 Mar 2004 3:18am
Troutbreath User Info... | One reason for David Bowie's continued relevance that is often overlooked is his wife, Iman. Very interesting woman, quietly involved in some very important work for women's causes around the world. - Thu, 1 Apr 2004 9:17am
Troutbreath User Info... | I found this quote about his wife: "incredible iman Far from keeping her success and her talents exclusively to herself, Iman has worked hard to make sure that she can use her celebrity to help the underprivileged. As an active member of Mother's Voices, Action Against Hunger, The Children's Defense Fund, and the All Children Foundation, Iman has entrenched herself as one of the most socially conscious women in the celebrity world. Iman is certainly one of the most beautiful women on Earth, but by conquering such diverse challenges as modeling, acting, raising a family, and fighting for a better world, she has made herself one of the most respected too. davescene User Info... | Not to mention raising a child by herself mostly pre-Bowie and being one of the many women from Africa who were savagely circumsized (basically slashed with a sharp rock). Shes beautiful, smart and elegant - doesn't blow her own horn, just quietly works away for others and content to stay out of the spotlight - very grounded woman. - Fri, 2 Apr 2004 1:55pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I too enjoyed this Bowie album, nice to see Bowie releasing something half decent instead of making a half-assed attempt at getting something out to fulfill his contract with the label. - Fri, 2 Apr 2004 4:44pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | I've been meaning to ask, did you all miss out on Heathen? - Wed, 7 Apr 2004 8:25pm
Stan User Info... | >>being one of the many women from Africa who were savagely circumsized Actually, all the women in Somalia have this done. They remove the clit, cut out the lips, and sew it back together, leaving a small hole for urination. I've heard a first hand account of the procedure and it's horrible. Little girl crying to her dad to make them stop, and he just stands there. That's Islam for ya. - Fri, 9 Apr 2004 6:48pm
