Ty Stranglehold User Info... | So this is it for the Beach City Butchers? Have the Fuhrers Of The New Wave really called it quits? It would seem so. Smogtown has been shredding the southern California scene since 95 with their infectious beachpunk meets California Apocalypse and it would seem that just as they are about to get their just deserves, they shit the bed and break up. At least they offered up a grand finale in the form of this 8 track smoker on TKO records. All Wiped Out features all the Smogtown traits that fans have come to expect. Guitardo's searing yet melodic riffs, Tim McVeigh's attempts to destroy his high-hat as fast as he possibly can, Chip Beef's always solid bass, and as always, Chavez with his bitting commentary on a society of excess and how it affects the surf. Stand out tracks: "Sex Offender Gender Bender", "I Don't Know", and "Squares". Fuck it, the whole thing is SOLID! Do yourself a favor and pick up all of their releases! Oh yeah, they decided to get the band back together after all! - Wed, 25 Feb 2004 6:47pm
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | Does anyone know if either Ditch or Lyle's have any Smogtown albums? Shit like this can be relatively hard to find in Victoria... Vancouver on the other hand.... - Tue, 2 Mar 2004 10:59pm
