| ENIGMATICA ENTERTAINMENT User Info... | Remember your last chance to purchase early bird tickets for THE TOASTERS is this Thursday, January 1, 2004. Again ticket locations are: Lyle's Place, Ditch Records, A&B Sound and Blackball Records in Nanaimo. Most of the stores will be closed for New Year's Day but A&B Sound will most likely be open with Sunday hours. Tickets will be $12 until then. | ENIGMATICA ENTERTAINMENT User Info... | The Central Bar and Grill has a restaurant licence which allows them to have live and/or canned music and still serve liquor. Live music can go until 1am and drinks may still be served for awhile thereafter. The venue works exactly the same way most special events and festivals work in Market Square. Similar to Victoria's 1st Ska Festival in the summer of 2000, Latin/Caribbean Festival annually and Jazz Fest there is no separate area where liquor is consumed. However, there are two bars (one downstairs at the back of the venue and one in the balcony)in the venue and there servers that come to tables around the venue. The venue requires people that come to the restaurant that want liquor to present two pieces of ID (i.e a driver's licence or a BC ID and a credit card or other government approved ID. As all of their music events are all ages, they keep a close eye on those that order liquor and/or consume it to ensure no one that is underage is drinking liquor. Remember, if you are under the legal age to consume liquor there are many other options for you at the show. The Central Bar & Grill has great food at very affordable prices. Ask one of the One Drop kats about their large natchos! Food is available throughout the duration of the show. Remember this the best all ages venue of its size in Victoria. The venue allows promoters to use it in good faith the event's patrons will have tons of fun but still act in a mature and respectful manner throughout the night. We know the crowds coming to the Toasters will do that. The crowd will be a mixed bag of ages which is exciting. Proof that these shows can be a success can encourage other venues of its kind around Victoria. That means more shows that are accessible to all ages! | ENIGMATICA ENTERTAINMENT User Info... | CORRECTION REGARDING MONITORING UNDER AGE DRINKING AT THE CENTRAL BAR & GRILL (LIQUOR PROCEDURE) I thought it was important to send a correction e-mail notice regarding the drinking policy for the Central Bar & Grill. They do in fact ID. everyone at the door to determine if you are legal drinking age. Patrons must present 2 pieces of ID. (one piece being a driver's licence or BC ID. and the other a credit card or other approved ID) If patrons are under the legal drinking age or cannot produce sufficient ID they will get a stamp or not get a stamp. Either way the having a stamp or not having one will separate those that can drink from those that cannot. BUT THE SHOW IS ALL AGES SO ALL CAN SEE THE MUSIC ANYWAY!! NOTHING IS STOPPING ANYONE FROM ENJOYING A GOOD MEAL:) Cheers! See all of you at the show!! Please do not offer those under age drinks.
