Background Info:

Lawrence Ytzhak Braithwaite is an author and spokenword
performer living in Victoria British Columbia, Canada. But
as Gail Scott wrote in an essay of New Narrative (Matrix 62)
"Lawrence Ytzhak Braithwaite's beautiful dangerous novels
make him one of the outstanding Canadian prose writers
alive, and only the Americans seem to know it."

Braithwaite loves and lives to Dub his prose like Lee
"Scratch" Perry (who he shares physical height with = 5'4)
and King Tubby worked with music and voice. His
bunker/lab is in the Fernwood district of Victoria British Columbia.

Braithwaite is the author of the novels
Wigger and Ratz are Nice (PSP). Braithwaite has appeared at
Lollapalooza, The National Black Arts Festival, Prose Acts:
Alternative Fiction Literary Conference (University of Buffalo,
New York) with Dennis Cooper and Kevin Killian
and the Kootney School of Writing. He has written
many short stories some appearing in Fourteen Hills Literary Journal
(San Francisco State University), Role Call: A Generational
Anthology of Social & Political Black Literature & Art, Bluesprints:
Anthology of Black British Columbian Literature and Orature
(ed. Wayde Compton), Redzone: Victoria's Street People Zine,
Fernwood's Sleeping Dragon, Velvet Mafia and Of the Flesh:
Dangerous Fiction (ed Greg Wharton. Braithwaite
lives in a fugative bunker in the Fernwood district of Victoria,
British Columbia.
