Message Board > Up n' Coming! (aka Shameless Promotion) > Vancouver - Converting Monthly Rental Studios into Hourly? |
suna User Info... | Hey guys. I've run a successful good lookin monthly lockout studio operation off of commercial drive for over a year now. We're expanding - opening a new monthly studio - and I'm considering moving my monthly tenants into the new one (through the application of heavy discounts and room upgrades) and converting the existing facility to an hourly rental type place. I guess the only thing I'm struggling with is what kind of success I'm going to have given that the area has a finite number of musicians and once I convert, I'm one of many. my facility is above par (nice and sound proofed, looks good, air system keeps things fresh) and I'm planning on differentiating myself in a few positive ways, but does anyone have any thoughts on this? If you were/are a musician living on the drive, would this appeal to you? 15 bucks an hour for rental of 200 sq ft room with pa system, mics. Renting any other gear would up the price by 5 bucks per amp. Good quality gear, fresh air and fairly heavily soundproofed. It's two blocks from the Waldorf, two blocks off of commercial. Just looking for opinions, thanks guys. Cheers! - Fri, 8 Apr 2011 3:56pm | ||
