| jay brown User Info... | It's all about promotion, the venues promote the shit out of the bands that do draw large like the dayglos or No Means No and then everyone shows up and their happy, but then they do fuck all for the smaller bands that might actually draw a crowd if people had the opportunity to know about them, it's a common dilemna, promoters say that the local bands dont draw the crowds so they dont put any effort into threm and then lo and behold no one even knows there is a show so no one comes out. It's happened a million times and it aint gonna stop, and really most of the guys in the bands work and stuff so most of them dont have the time to do it, so everyone suffers. The bands blame the promoters for not doing their part, and they are usually right. The promoters blame the bands for not drawing anyone in, and their right too, cause if the bands actually had their shit together they'd make damn sure everyone they knew came to the show. | Mr. Hell User Info... | We learned long ago that if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. We make a point of promoting our shows to the point of overkill even if it means missing out on sleep or a Canucks game. In the end it usually always pays off.
