Mr. Hell User Info... | DJ killed it here last night! Don't miss this as Glen said they are pulling out all the stops to commemorate the end of the Cobalt. - Fri, 18 Sep 2009 3:00pm
Sati User Info... | yep, we had a great time.. who's Glen? Decent turnout - enough that it felt full, but not so many that I wanted to snarl at people. Guys were ecstatic that there were so many women (& one of the old cobalt regulars said, "wow, look at all the girls - the cobalt must be about to shut down!" haha, happens that way every time..) speaking of, thnx to all the gentlemen who were able to politely peal their eyes off all the girly flesh who kept coming up to flaunt while we were talking - that was sweet! :) Yappers were yapping with me through all the bands, and I'm so stoked about tendo tonight I couldn't focus on anything else (butterflies in my tum again!), but everyone seemed right into the openers. I missed v, but mp are always good. I like DJ, and see them as convincing as they come (perfect for a charred remains show), to the point where its a little too convincing for me - I'm really not into having that thing pointed at me or anyone else, or seeing it at all in my favorite bar. But I'm certainly not faulting them, its effective and he seems to have the maturity & balls to do it, but i'd hate to see blithering idiots start emulating just for the shock value. And he had a lot of valid things to say which made for a lot of discussion btwn some of us, and the theatricality of it is always refreshing since there's not nearly enough of it around here. I got to bang my head through some of it, but decided to take off when the blood started pouring. Really good set. Congrats Arnie, I know you've had a great mentor, but now you're a pro in your own right, cheers to many more. - Sat, 19 Sep 2009 6:27pm Edited: Sat, 19 Sep 2009 6:33pm
