Well, the show was well worth the trip!!

The venue could have been alot better, though I suspose it was fitting judging from the crowd that showed up, I for one expected alot more people, those bands could have had a similar draw here!*if only Nile was allowed here, sigh*

The bar's operation was sorta screwed, once you pay yopu8 cant get out then back in unless you qualify for a beer stamp which my canadian ass did not, all I could think was how much does it really cost for 2 colors of ink???
But by far the biggest pissoff was that all the bands were at tables signing shit and I couldn't6 buy jack squat without some sort of bribory which I couldn't afford because nowhere in Seattle seems to accept canadian money... how weak, I propose we do the same to them! DAMN YANKEES!!! *made beer shopping a bitch too!* - Could tell me to go to a bank, but we were too stoned at the border to notice the currency exchange building and by the time we got there all the banks were long closed-

GOATWHORE:

Well, despite my not so being into these guys, they put fourth an awesome show!
All but one song they played was from their new album *which I reviewed on this site before I knew they were on the bill even if ya want to see an un-tainted review* Funeral Dirge For The Rotting Sun - And they played them damn near flawlessly!!!
Goatwhore was the only band who's sound actually sounded as if they were playing the CD, the sound was %100 perfect, and the vocalist had some killer stage presence *I took a few notes ;)* Though the band isint quite my style as I've said, Goatwhore's set was by far the most "perfect", I'd see them again willingly after that!!

AMON AMARTH:

Well they don't just sound like vikings, they look like em' too!
Awesome show, I've been wanting to see these guys for one hell of a long time, allthough I have to say, I was quite disappointed...
Their sound was the first of the rest of the bands to become "muddled" , the vocals as well as one of the guitars were far too quiet, I can deal with that and have on meny occasions, hell, even had it happen to me, but that was still OK, my beef was the fact that Amon Amarth diddn't play a single one of their old songs that myself and other fans tend to rant about, namely the awesome Victorious March and more from their album Once Sent From The Golden Hall.. That was a real bummer as I had wanted to hear several songs by these guys since forever.. but hell shit happens... We all still got to hear VS The World and A Fury Divine though, which did kick ass, and these guys live kicked ass, great set, however It would have been nice to throw some of their older-hella popular songs on the set list, though still, great set and im sure I'll be seeing them upon their return next year with hopes of Victorious March and Thor Arise high!!! *heh I screamed both at em' they did look at me suprisingly so hopefully they may remember hearing the chant for those which me and a few Amarth fanatics I bumped into had going*

VADER:

As with Amon, apparent sound problem with one of the guitars being entirely too quiet, however they still fucking ripped!
I'm not very schooled on Vader at all, but they put fourth a killer show that I enjoyed very much, though my favourite part was their ballsy move at the end:
The norse bastards said this is our last song so tear shit op*or something similar* and it kicked ass, the crowd was liking it but not going ape shit, I saw the singer yell something at the drummer as they were holding a fade out, diddnt seem to really stand out then BOOM, Vader decided to close with RAINING BLOOD!
Now for a band like Vader to close with a slayer song and risk being booed off the stage by elitests was pretty gutsy but it paid off, the cover was fucking awesome! Raining blood with thundering blastbeats made the whole crowd including myself go freaking ape shit!!! Best closing song of the night in my opinion! Even though it was a Slayer cover, it's the best cover I've ever heard*minus monstrosity's AoD cover*!!!
Fucking Killer.

KREATOR:

Well, you'd swear these guys ripped off Slayer if they weren't around years before them.
A very Slayer-like feeling from these guys, though I noticed a huge difference with the drumming, Kreator's drummer was far better in my eyes, for songs written all the way back then, his drumming was far ahead of it's time, loaded with blasts it was fucking killer!
The only thing negative I have to say about Kreator is the vocalist's non stop crowd popping...
A few times is ok, but at times such as ordering the crowd to say "raise the flag of hate" like it was fucking hostile or something, not twice but four times in a row just seemed like borderline begging, but other than that, these guys kicked metal thrash ass for sure!

NILE:

Well, all you may have heard about live Nile is true, they definately do not disappoint, allthough they had the same bad 2nd guitar sound as the other bands minus Goatwhore *what was up with that sound man??? after 3 bands having the same sound problem the guy still diddn't notice and Nile was there before... needs a slap or to be fired* Nile still slaughtered though!
One of the singer/guitarists looks an awful lot like devin townsend, found that pretty funny, I just wish I was at their last seattle show with SYL and Nile so I could make a stupid Townsend family joke *hey as long as Im laughing Im happy and dont care :p
Nile shredded it for sure, heard every song I had wanted to hear and the band was nice as fuck to boot!, came out and bullshitted with the reminants of the crowd until gone/signed shit, so all and all Nile was fucking killer! The whole show was fucking killer and the soundman needs to be beaten!!!

Thus ends my review and begins some good ol' boredom

I could have cried because I got the money I needed to go...the day of the show. I'd have killed to see Vader live, Same With Amon and Nile. I guess all I have to look forward to nw is Slayer and Arch Enemy and then Dimmu Borgir. Never seen Arch Enemy so I'm looking forward to it.
