DK User Info... | Jim Bryson was fairly enjoyable, I guess I would describe his sound as countmo. I don't know if his band was supposed to be called the fembots or if there was supposed to be another opening band, but either way right after Jim the Weakerthans took the stage. They were incredibly good, the second guitarist had great energy and the lead singer was fairly fun to watch, a few songs into the set he ripped the strings out of his guitar. They did Left and Leaving splendidly and right after it roared into Watermark which sounded absolutely incredible. They came back 2 minutes after their "last song" to do a 5 song encore. I was really impressed and had a lot of fun. - Wed, 10 Sep 2003 3:32pm

lepain User Info... | The Fembots were there. They played before Jim Bryson. They were more countryish than Bryson. They had a fiddle/violinist, and a singer who alternated between a lazy indy delivery and belting it out drunk country singalong style. I suppose their style would be indry, or coundy? - Thu, 11 Sep 2003 12:00pm
DK User Info... | Stupid Sugar night club. I showed up around quarter after ten because the last two times I have been to Sugar they have opened the doors at least an hour late. Seems like they actually opened the doors on time and got things rolling fast that night, stupid inconsistent fucks. - Thu, 11 Sep 2003 3:10pm
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | Only saw the Weakerthans... missed out on the rest. The Weakerthans were exactly what I expected: very good pseudo indie rock / alt country that really didn't stoke my fire.... - Sat, 20 Sep 2003 4:22am
