I agree with HARi, the Proles were absolutely terrible and deserve to die. Good message though, you have to admit. - Mon, 8 Sep 2003 6:28pm

I'm with People's War and that was a hell of a fun gig. I thought the Proles had the right attitude for the style they are into; Raw and Rough as need be.

Maybe I'm getting old but I haven't witnessed people moshing like that in a long while. Have the Proles done any other shows? A bunch of the crowd were yelling out the lyrics...

Sorry Rampant, but I had to follow a band-member to the next gig at Logans. I'll have to hang around and check it out next time.

Anyone who was an attendee, thanks for showing up. - Tue, 9 Sep 2003 3:47pm

Also thanks to whomever it was (the Proles?) who lent me their bass amp after mine did the kamikaze dive off the cab 30 seconds into the show. Punk rockers are always so nice when it comes to lending gear in an emergency. I too had to leave immediately as I had another show to play at Logan's (with dp smith supporting Cousin Harley) so I didn't get to see the Proles or Rampant. Oh well. - Wed, 10 Sep 2003 12:57pm

I unfortunately missed Rampant. I thought People's War were quite good, but the sound totally licked which took away from the experience; also my friends kept referring to them as ska which just pissed me off. The Proles were fun and the pit was pretty impressive. I thought it was pretty funny when someone yelled "I O!" at Kenny. - Wed, 10 Sep 2003 3:28pm

even though I know people's war isn't ska, why does everybody hate it so much?? back in the 70's in the uk, all the skinheads listened just as much ska as they did oi. if you think ska is less than jake it isn't, that's pretty much pop punk with horns. anyways sorry I missed the show, i really wanted to hear people's war, maybe next time. I heard they were recording in sos, does anyone know if that's released yet?? - Thu, 11 Sep 2003 5:23pm

People's War CD isn't completed, though it is well underway.
(FDJ-Fuckin' Day Jobs) Additionally, S.O.S is a very busy spot, and of course, everyone wants it to be done right. ZippGunn might be able to estimate a timeline more accurately. Personally, I'll be more than happy if its out this calendar year.

I can say it is sounding damn fine to my ears. I think Z.G knows his shit inside and out. - Thu, 11 Sep 2003 5:47pm

We have recorded all the basic tracks; all that is left to do is a few overdubs and then mix the thing. We also plan to do a dub version that will include some songs not on the non-dub version and we will probably save a track exclusively for the LiveVic audio section. All in all we have something like 18 songs. The man Goluza writes about 4 new songs per practice so just keeping up with him is tough! Timeline is to have the regular CD out for Halloween and the dub one for Xmas. - Sat, 13 Sep 2003 12:23pm
