trevor corey User Info... | I just wanted to start this thread to talk about how impressive Roarschach are. The word that comes to mind for me would be, power trio. Each player extremely talented at their particular instrument. Very refreshingly original bass playing, groovy psychedelic guitar, and powerful drumming reminding me of the old intensity of Dave Grohl. They have more songs in their repertoire than time was allowed to play it all. Too bad for me, one of my favorite songs, "Stars", didn't make the set list. The tightness of the band is shown in their mastery of stop and start. I hear many influences such as Rage Against the Machine, old Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and even a slight hint of Peter Gabriel. All three band members do vocals with the majority done by the bass player. I can't wait for the release of an album. C.T.W. rule. It seemed to me that this band is starting to get the recognition they deserve. The place was packed for a Thursday. Packed full of people I've never seen before. Not the typical crowd of friends and musicians, but a crowd full of radio listeners. So many were taking pictures and video. It was like they knew they were witnessing something special. I thought Nick's jaunt into the crowd was a cool way to wrap it up. Total rock star move. well done. Rock it to the top! Great job by the Zone for doing these band of the month gigs. Very cool. Back in the late eighties, early nineties, KISW was single handedly responsible for blowing up the Seattle scene. Also cool of Perry for hosting these Thursday night shows. Thanks. - Fri, 27 Mar 2009 1:19am
trevor corey User Info... | I chatted with a dude named Ryan that was doing some filming, but in case he doesn't contact me, I was hoping Matteus could post what he got filmed. Thanks - Fri, 27 Mar 2009 1:25am
KRIEG User Info... | Excellent set by both bands. Easily 2 of my favourite local acts at the moment. You can't help but feel these bands are destined for great things... My only complaint is directed at the venue. The oh-so-Zone-esq music between bands, why'd it have to be so fucking loud? - Fri, 27 Mar 2009 9:06am
