Josh User Info... | AWT put on a good show as usual, too bad no one showed up though, oh well nothing wrong with the 4 person mosh pit - Sun, 10 Aug 2003 12:55am
jay brown User Info... | I had a blast playing out there. The hall rules, the sound system rocked. Hell they even brought in a light show. I bet you could fit four or five hundred kids in that place. Granted with about twenty people showing up it was kinda sparse. I know Elizabeth lost a bunch of cash on this one. Props to her though, it was the most professionally run all ages show I've ever played at. The bands.... well I play in two of them so I cant really say anything other than I think we did all right. Tough As Nails, I love those guys. Their tunes are awesome and they've even got the stage presence to go with it. I did notice the drummer in particular, man has he improved drastically over the last few months, he was great last night. I love Jerry passing the mic off to the crowd as well, nothing like crowd participation to insure a good feeling in the room. All in all they're just a killer band to see live. Conch, this is the second tour we've gotten to play with them on now. I love playing with those guys, great music, really nice guys, and totally supportive of all the other bands. If you like that Helmet kinda sound you'd love these guys. Definitely worth checking out. Granted now you'll have to wait for their next tour. So for those of you that made it, thanks for coming out. For those of you that as usual didn't, oh well, I dont really care I had a good time. STOP LOOKING AT MY COCK - Sun, 10 Aug 2003 11:37am
Brian VIHC User Info... | Let's hear it for the two, three, or four person mosh pit. It's good to see kids going all out even when there's no one to do it with. (I'm not being sarcastic.) It was great to finally see AWT, and I love the Hoosegow of course. Conch were intense, I can't recall seeing anyone that sweaty in a long time. The one guy with the ballcap started out with it dry and the cap gradually came to look like it was dunked in a bucket of water. And especially great to see the "Van Isle Crew" out to support TAN! The time on this board is messed up in case no one's noticed, I'm posting at 1:30 in the afternoon! - Sun, 10 Aug 2003 12:49pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | I had a great time as well. It's a real shame that more kids didn't come out and get down. I guess that it's gotta be hard in a small community like that. Nothing but praise for Elizebeth and crew who kept things running smoothly and put on a happy face even in light of big monetary loses. Great to play with Conch again. Damn fin band indeed. I guess it's our turn to go out and hang with them in Cow-Town. TAN were great as usual. Hardcore insanity! AWT were in fine form too! I guess we played alright too? Anyways, thanks to all who came out(both bands and patrons) and extra special thanks to Pennisula Pizza for the stellar pies! - Sun, 10 Aug 2003 4:19pm
V User Info... | Hoosegow were great straight up punk fucking rawk. good wholesome fun. AWT were fab as usual. the four person pit WAS FUN! even brentwood kids cant keep their hands in their pockets forever. after that i had to go do some drinking. got busted for it too (big surprise) but no charges (cool). then i had to wait around outside for someone from town who never showed up so i ended up missing TAN and Conch. fucking bummer. I came in at the end of the last song of the last set and man were those guys fucking sweaty. mujst have been good! - Mon, 11 Aug 2003 8:59pm
Cheeky User Info... | Holy shit, even though the turn out was absolute shit the bands put on a fucking awesome performance. I was totally blown away with the talent that community hall got to see that night. Hoosegow and A.W.T, all I got a say is that ya fucking kick ass and your drummer definately has the rock star attitude... Tough as Nails, you definatly know how to capture your audiance and played a great set. Conch, I can't say anything else except sexy sweat and you guys fucking ripped shit up. I can't wait to see you guys again out here! To be honest, the punk scene has totally gone down in the vic area and if we ever did another punk show, it would be mixed up with another genre of music. Thanks to all those you managed to find time in their busy schedule to come out and support us. Hope to see you this coming up saturday for Metal Mayhem 2! - Tue, 12 Aug 2003 9:44pm
