Mr. Hell User Info... | FUCK!!! I fell asleep on my couch while watching TV, waiting for 9pm to roll around. Goddammit. I know it's 11:12pm, but by the time I get my shit together and get down there, there's 15 minutes left. I'll have to see Pariah's next gig. Sorry guys. I am very disappointed. How'd it go? - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 1:12am
inline_punk User Info... | DEMONS...................................are FOREVER!!!!!!! razorfucking chicks is about as cool as ronald reagan (Pariah) but nice vocals and at the gatesesque music it was energeticly charged metal....GM ruled as usual, I'm "virtually insane" anonafuckingmos - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 3:11am
Danny Silverfish User Info... | Wow Anonymus put on a great show, Gross Misconduct was awesome can't say enough good things about those guys .Thanks to all who showed up and to those who didn't Hope to see you at the next show. Dave (Pariah) - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 4:53am
The Leper Affinity User Info... | Wow, Pariah was a pleasant surprise! They had some seriously good stuff. Can't wait for their next show! Gross Misconduct as usual blew me away with how they can play that fuckin' fast for that fuckin' long! These guys need to get a well produced recording together though, cause despite the decently good sound tonight it was still hard to make out some of what they were playing due to the insane speed. As for Anonymus, they were very tight and put a lot of energy into their show. They had some really cool stuff in some songs, but were maybe a little too straightforward thrash at times (for my taste). Kinda dissapointing that the crowd wasn't more into it though. Still a much better turnout than when Martyr was here. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 5:14am
matt t User Info... | Pariah was awesome, vocals and guitar were good. GM I enjoyed more this time than at the ml7 show. Anonymus I wasnt impressed, sort of made me laugh but I left like 4 songs in. Pariah and GM were worth the 8 bucks. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 8:35am
somedude User Info... | how can one band bring that much merchandise with them? it seemed a little silly - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 12:24pm
coke_dealer User Info... | Anonymus made you laugh?? I guess you didn't know that demons are forever. GM bass kick and bass guit were too loud, guitars too quiet. I was in the bathroom getting higha(coke, only the best gear) listening to Pariah. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 12:41pm
Inktvis User Info... | I completely forgot about the show, but I wouldn't have been able to make it anyways. Anonymus looks quite professional and have played many tours (I guess that is why they have the merchandise as compared to the many starting out Victoria bands) Any Pariah sounds online? - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 2:50pm
H User Info... | Anonymus fucking ruled! Well, except for that one song that's supposed to get airplay on loud. Gross Misconduct always crush, and last night was no exception. We'll miss you guys, so don't wait too long to come back and play a show. Pariah impressed me a lot. Good guitar work and awesome vox. I see good things for these guys. All in all, twas a good show but not enough crowd participation. The pit sucked and it didn't help that people were hiding away in booths... i mean come on here, are you a metalhead or an alcoholic? - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 3:51pm
somedude User Info... | 40 different (perhaps a slight exageration) t-shirts is a bit exessive to say the least. Who do they think they are......Anthrax? .........oh wait. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 6:23pm
ML7Mike User Info... | I thought they sounded like Anthrax too.. apparently their singer works in a shirt factory.. must be nice. Overall quite a tight band, 13 years together and it shows. Total old school sound.. Pariah utterly slayed.. very impressive work guys! Gross Misconduct also kicked ass, and the boobs were great for effect.. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 6:25pm
Sewn Flesh User Info... | good show last night (except the price) Pariah played a really tight set, i really like the last song even though they fucked it up, vocals were really good but agree with Inline, metal misogyny is about as cool as Ronald Reagan. GM were really good although the sound for them was really bad, when i saw them at logans (with good sound) they blew me away. Can't wait to see them again. Anonymous were not what i was hoping for but entertaining anyway. too bad half the crowd left halfway through their set .. i guess i can't blame them.... - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 6:47pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Fucking wicked times! I am was very impressed with pariah, I knew you guys would slay when you got your shit together, fucking wicked Dave! Everything sounded so good, thanks to Warren for stumbeling on that vocalist, jesus christ that guy can wail. GM were good as well, though the vocals needed to be turned up, just as good as the show they played with ML7. haha, Yes, the tits were fucking awesome, it was so mezmorizing(sp??) watching them bounce! Best of luck with your move to Van, hope to catch you at some shows there soone, cheers! I didn't like annoyomus that much, their website is cheap and you can only get 45 second clips of their songs. I know, entice and leave it up the imagination, but ya, I had to work so I left. Somone was saying something about the pit sucking, I got slapped! - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 7:09pm
Cruiser User Info... | I was doing the radio show so I couldn't get there until GM had almost finished. I wanna see Pariah sometime soon. GM is very consistently good, tight as hell from playing so many shows! Anonymus really made it look easy. Drummer was fun to watch, kind of a cross between the guy from Agiel (who played here with Cephalic Carnage) and Hoglan a little bit (minus the ridiculous showboating he does lately). Lots of rockin' out posing I guess but it's better than standing there looking at the ground. Crowd was dead, or at least mostly sober, but it was a Sunday night. Thanks Lucky for getting some out-of-province metal in here, hope it was worthwhile. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 7:22pm
METALHEAD!% User Info... | I thought that Anonymus ripped it up pretty good. The only thing hurting about that night was the crowd. Hiding in the corners, too afraid to even bob your heads in case someone sees you. I would deffinately go see Anonymus again, it was cool that they played songs that I recognized, and they have vicious stage presence. Pariah could easily become one of my new favorite local bands. They play the genre that I am really into right now, melodic death, and they are really fucking good. They would deffinately compliment Gallow's End. GM, well, best damn "standard 80's speed metal" I have ever seen on the island. good luck in van, coming to see one of your shows will be a good excuse to get off the rock. - Tue, 1 Jul 2003 1:36pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | gallows end? that's like, sooooo yesterday man! - Tue, 1 Jul 2003 1:45pm
Wreaker of Havoc User Info... | I heard pariah jamming a few doors down and it sounded like an At the Gates cd though the biggest stereo system imaginable. Fuckin tight, good sound. Fuckin showoffs.... - Tue, 1 Jul 2003 6:22pm
cranktheriffage User Info... | the misconduct fuckin rules - dave's vox very raw and strong (the best i've heard yet) - their sound was terrible, apparently no one cared to check that out - anynonmus had a couple good parts, and lots of enthusiasm - military theme = lame and bland - missed pariah, heard they were rad but sexist. next time we will have to rush the stage and destroy the strobe lights. lucky bar can suck my asshole - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 4:16am
Danny Silverfish User Info... | Hey,This Dave (lead guitar Pariah),just wanted to add that Pariah isn't sexist, the song Luke introduced with the bit about the razor fucking was misleading. The song had nothing to do with brutalizing women.I am sincerely sorry to those who were offended. - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 11:10am
Jesse User Info... | Fuck... Yeah we didn't have time for a soundcheck. There was a huge delay on the malahat and we showed up a little bit before doors opened... Oh well. Was a super fun show. PARIAH fucking crushed, anyone who missed them should definitely check em out at the Infernal Majesty show (Thanks for the PR's guys). Anonymus has a killer live show, super energetic. Invisible Man is a rad song, so glad they opened with it, unfortunately they do have some hit and miss songs... But overall I thought they where super good. Oh shit, my bus is in 1 minute.. I may be back! Thanks to eeveryone who came out! Keep the metal Faith ALIVE! - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 1:14pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | AAhh shit son, I've spent the last few days since the show in a near comatose state of smoke and alcohol induced retardation, so now while the clouds have momentarily dissipated, I'll state my case. First off I have to thank Lincoln from Pariah/Self Inflicted for letting me borrow his cymbals. I had almost forgotten what it was like to play on a drumset that was not completely fucked up, thanks dude. I was happy with the way we played, and I'm happy that the response was positive at both the show and here. As Jesse said, there was absolutely no time for a soundcheck, let alone time enough for us to even play our whole set ( we cut out 3-4 songs). Pariah, you guys fucking rock out, and we look forward to fucking shit up with you guys in Van. Your singer's stealth like manouvers behind the bar after the show was much appreciated. Anonymus was pretty rad, I agree with Jesse they have moments that totally rock and other moments in which I was indifferent. At the end of the day they do have their own sound, and I guess that is why they've been around for as long as they have. Haha the night after the show, Dave and myself went to some lame piece of shit bar that said Monday was "Metal Monday". It was Monday but there was little or no metal, so I felt confused. 3 metal songs in 5 hours!!!! Fuck that shit. Only solace was $1.50 rye and cokes. Lots of hot chicks and too many chachi looking fuckers. The next day, Dave and I had planned to go to the Black Sabbath tribute show, but first we went to the Yates St. parkade roof to watch fireworks. After watching the fireworks, which were a waste of 20 minutes of my life we ( and when I say we, I mean 10 people) packed into the elevator. Once we had crammed the fucking thing way past it's capacity, some brain surgeons in the elevator decided it would be funny to jump up and down, and rock the thing side to side. The fucking thing got stuck, air got thin, people panicked, Dave passed right out. My favourite part of the ordeal was when we tried the emergency phone in the elevator itself. THE GODDAMNED EMERGENCY PHONE LINE (which one would think would help you get OUT of emergency situations) LED TO A FUCKING AUTOMATED ANSWERING SERVICE. Fuck dude, the fire dept. came and got us out, but seriously another 10-15 minutes in there and people certainly would have started dropping like flies. Then we went to to the Black Sabbath tribute band. I got really drunk in celebration of the fact that I kind of cheated death. Dave made a deragotary remark to some drunk, and she chased him up and down Yates St. for 10 minutes trying to beat him up. In conclusion, I'd like to thank everyone who showed up on Sunday, and also to everyone in Victoria who ever came to see us play, YOU GUYS RULE, and we will see you in November! - Thu, 3 Jul 2003 1:44pm
inline_punk User Info... | zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........you done yet asshole. - Thu, 3 Jul 2003 3:49pm
Jesse User Info... | Inline punk... Wouldn't it be funny if while you were at the Warped tour watching Simple Plan and Taking Back Sunday someone decided that YOU where an asshole and decided to kick your ass? That would be fucking hilarious! Keep your fucking mouth shut in the future - Thanks! Unless of course you are joking, In that case - Carry on! - Thu, 3 Jul 2003 8:37pm
Rollerballs User Info... | I once took my skate (rollerblades) and buried it into the referee's back. Gross Misconduct is forever (the elevator proves it, they can not be stopped). - Thu, 10 Jul 2003 2:06pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Yes much like demons, Gross Misconduct is forever. Until we die. In which case we will be dead. - Thu, 10 Jul 2003 5:12pm
