VIHC User Info... | Hey all, just a few notes on the show last night. It generally went off without incident and the bands were great. I was really glad to finally see We've Been Had, and The Hoosegow (covering Wild In the Streets! awesome!) and By The Throat. Unfortunately due to the drinking of various idiots that we asked numerous times to go elsewhere we've probably lost the venue. Also some moron vandalized the women's washroom and we lose our damage deposit. If you know who this is please beat the crap out of them. The only other thing that sucked were the dozen or so people in the lobby who refused to pay the astronomically high $5 to come in. Any future shows (if at all) will have a zero tolerance on alcohol policy. Anyone with alcohol will be MADE to leave without a refund, no more of this "nice guy" politeness. But thanks to all the sane people who came out to actually see the bands and support the scene! You guys, you know who you are, are great. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 2:46pm

VIHC User Info... | They may actually let us use the venue again. After a whole lot of apologizing they seem to sympathize and realize the idiocy wasn't our aim or fault. It sucks to be so hard on drinkers but if we want to keep having shows at all, let alone at this venue, we have to. People can drink before or after the show as much as they want, but not during, and not anywhere near the centre. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 4:19pm
josh nails User Info... | It is simply a matter of respect. If you give a fuck and want to keep seeing all ages shows, then dont drink at them. It as simple as that. I have drank at all ages shwos before in the past, but quite some time ago I decided that it is very disrespectful. The promoters, bands and everyone else all suffer when venues are shut down and drinking at all ages shows is the leading cause of losing venues. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 4:38pm
Josh Nails User Info... | By The Throat were sweet and super nice guys to boot. Hopefully we will see them return. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 4:47pm
Lurker User Info... | Minor Threat, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Circle Jerks, and SNFU all covered in a matter of hours. Fuck yeah. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 4:59pm
Seanor User Info... | hope that venue doesnt get closed down, i kinda like small venues. the sound was a lot better this time too than the last one i was at there(AK-47 one), this time i could make out the lyrics, at least. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 6:42pm
jay brown User Info... | Ya know I am a drunk, I freely admit it, I have no big issues with that. But there's a time and a place for everything. I went for a walk down to the ocean and had a few beers, not only am I not fucking with anyone it's a damn nice view. If I can see the idiots standing at the front door drinking, hell I saw one tool sitting at the front desk with a beer, what makes them think the staff wont see them? Hmmm, why is it that venues get lost huh? Maybe I've changed my views a bit since I got really, really, really old....bwahahahah. But personally I think your all fucked. Being a musician in this town your fucking up my chances of playing shows here. I like playing shows. I like going to see other bands play shows. I think the shows would work a lot better if maybe the next time someone cracks a beer at the front door they get a shot to the head. They aren't there to see the bands anyways, if they were they'd have a bit of respect. They're there to get drunk and hang out... do it somewhere else. Plus the people who just show up and sit at the front door and wont pay to get in..... Why the fuck are you there in the first place? You arent supporting the bands or the promoter so what on earth makes you think any of us want you there? What so you can hang out and piss off the staff and maybe lose the hall? Wicked, thanks for your awesome support, you rock. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 7:55pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | I had fun at the show. I'm really sorry to hear that some idiots have fucked things up(yet again!). Gee, I wonder if I can figure out which ass-clowns were responsible. Thanks to everyone else who came out and respected and enjoyed the show. All-ages venues are a bit of a commodity these days and should be held onto at all costs. I am also a drunk, but it's not all that hard to keep the booze away from the venue and not get so shittered that you botch the show. - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 9:22pm
kyla User Info... | too bad i missed out, i forgot about it until about 11 that night. oh well...glad to hear it was a good time except for the unfortunate mishaps! - Fri, 27 Jun 2003 11:51pm
