Anonymous | I thought it was great show with a great crowd. Devinity, some group from here, opened and weren't all that bad, actually fairly good. Kamou, an MC, did some rhyme spittin' after Devinity left the stage and he had some fairly good rhymes; my favourite was "industry execs love marionettes" (maybe he's a "Pull My Strings" fan). K-Os took the stage around Midnight and put on a really good show, hi-lights would have been "Heaven Only Knows", his cover of "Message in a Bottle" and when he slipped in a line from "Wonderwall" into one of his songs. His band was pretty cool, a guy playing african drums, another guy on a guitar that I'll describe as ethnic and bass player and a guy on keys and synth. The last song of his two song encore was pretty sweet and he let a few kids from the crowd try their hand at MC-ing. All in all a good night. - Wed, 25 Jun 2003 3:34pm
Anonymous | Wanted to go but I have no regrets since I was at the Dears and that was in the top 5 of the 100's of shows I've been to. Let's hear more so I can pretend I was there! - Wed, 25 Jun 2003 4:23pm
DK User Info... | At the end of "Heaven Only Knows" he went into a cover of 50 Cent's "Questions" that was so smooth I thought it was actually part of "Heaven Only Knows". - Sun, 29 Jun 2003 5:32pm
Dane User Info... | I thought that was an awesome show. Always good to see Kamau. I like his words. He could change up the flow of how he rhymes but I like the content. The way that K-OS and his band played "Heaven Only Knows" was off the hook! Sweet. I also liked the cover from Black Uhuru "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" I went nuts for that song too. Great show! - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 11:00am
