| Tim(Delicious Face) User Info... | I'd like to say that Himsa must have been the best live performance I have ever seen. Words cannot describe how retardedly good they are. Their set left me speachless. Anyhoo as usual TAN played a solid set along with Gallows who as usual shredded the place (nice job on the pedals Aaron, I'm impressed) and Darth Brooks were good, very intersting performance. Watching Gallows definatly made me want to work on my double kick, that slayed. It was also great to see Giles and the singer of Himsa ready to duke, the singer gave Giles a nice punch to the skull and then challenged him later. Good Fun. - Thu, 19 Jun 2003 2:29am | ||

| Matt D. User Info... | Jesus H. Christ, that was a-fuckin-mazing... I liked Darth Brooks, I'd seen a bit of their set quite some time ago. I was at first skeptical of the canned drums and whatnot, but quickly warmed to their unique down-and-dirty cunt-ry style (especially the New Country song, hilarious). Gallows played a really good set, I must as well comment on the exceptional drumming skills, solid playing. Went really well. TAN rocked and got the crowd a little juicy in preparation for the onslaught that was to come. I was watching the door at that point and whatnot so I missed out on some of the set. Good stuff, I want the goddam CD.... HIMSA, well... they definately had me in their thrall, I liked the ambient creepy music and voice tracks in between some of their songs, nice effect. All of them were top-of-the-line musicians and performers. I was quick to buy their CD after their set. The songs are still rattling in my skull (in a good way). The pit was chaotic and maybe if someone knew their etiquette it could have been better... but... what CAN you do? I missed the singer of HIMSA punching that guy in the head, but I saw an exchange of words (sorta). I take it Giles was the guy with the cromag slanted forehead with the vacant yet menacing glare lurking underneath?... I thought his name was D-Style...? Great show, great bands.... | ML7Mike | HIMSA fucking crushed!! Excellent show.. Finaly got to see TAN as well, another very cool local band. Got there too late for GE or Darth.. Acoustics in that room were good, I could hear everything clearly. That cromagnon dude almost got into it with a few people, including one dude who stepped into the mosh and called him on, but the tough guy retreated. | Gallow Drummer | Yeah I would say that was one of our shittier performances for sure. I swear to god, no company makes strong enough drum hardware!!! I bought a Tamma Iron Cobra thinking that it could take the abuse, but I guess the pro adds are complete bullshit. I KNEED SPONSERSHIP!! DRUMS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE! LONG AND McQUADE SUCKS MY BALLS!! Gallows Drummer, take a look at Axis pedals, good pedals, some people have got over 1300 db strokes per min on those pedals, nicely built but they'll rape your wallet. or DW 5000s, they're strong but slower cause of the weight. - Fri, 20 Jun 2003 5:12pm | ||

When Strapping Young Lad played at Soundgarden I mentioned to him that I didn't like my double bass pedal, cause it always broke on me. Axis pedals, they're unreal for speed, but they always break. He told me that he had tried every double kick out there, and coming from him I believe it. He said that the new yamaha double chain kick was the best pedal on the market now. Not only is it fast but he said it is by far the most durable pedal on the market. I do believe his exact words were, you could hit it with a hammer and still take it up on stage.
