75Jersey User Info... | Although ive been to many, many arena shows this was my first time seeing NIN. Trying not to compare it to anything else and based mostly on entertainment quality and value i rate it a 7.5/10. Lots to comment on specifically about sound, lights, special effects etc..but i'm not gonna bother other than it was pretty well done and the way they alternated between playing behind the screen and without was interesting. They kept a steady if not quick pace for the most part pausing only briefly between songs just long enough for the near capacity crowd to be heard. Mr. Reznor did take a moment between songs late in the set to comment on it being the first time playing in Victoria, thanking the crowd and reflecting on the bittersweetness of being near the end of the tour. The set was ample with a good mix and blend of material ranging from the bleak to the fist pumpin'. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 2:28am Edited: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 2:40am
trevor corey User Info... | WTF was up with that Mr Bug shitte!?! It was almost as dreadful as the eric martin out patient next to me that was screaming out the lyrics, not singing, screaming, in a death rattle dying horse kinda way. I had to stab her a bunch of times to make her shut up. Other than that, I loved NIN. Fucking amazing. Another concert that makes Tool look really bad. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 2:58am
Tyler User Info... | I gotta come in here and defend The Bug. it's a project of Kevin Martin, who was a huge influence on Trent Reznor. anyone know Techno Animal? same guy. Trent picks really interesting opening acts (also Boris on some dates) that would likely never be played by the Zone. The Bug is really cool, a mix of dancehall and noise and a ton of other stuff. I interviewed him on my radio show maybe 3 hours before the performance and the guy was really intelligent. but I'll admit it doesn't really seem to be the kind of stuff that would appeal to nine inch nails fans, especially the nine inch nails fans of today. also I'll give you that it was really poorly mixed... the vocals were way too loud in the mix, the bass wasn't nearly as deep as it should have been for the genre. and some of warriorqueen's stage ramblings were a little over the top. the show itself was great. I got to relive my early teen years, hahaha. nin played a good smattering of old material, tons of new stuff, and the visuals were incredible. I loved the ghosts instrumental segment especially, even though I haven't become acquainted with the ghosts recorded material. this was my first save on foods show and I don't regret going at all. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 7:35am Edited: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 7:36am
Haden User Info... | I wouldn't doubt that The Bug himself is worth listening to. I think her name was Warrior Queen (?) was way out of any type of realm of vocal stylings that I even imagined I wanted to sit through last night. I was bored almost immediately as she didn't really add anything to the beats other than the annoyance "Am I crazy? Do you think I'm insane?". He lyrics, or what I could hear, were pretty lame. And sorry, I don't sit a guy in a chair and grind his gears like I just don't care. But, thanks for asking, Queenie. As for NIN, the production, I thought, was better than the last tour through Vancouver, Live: With Teeth. The screens were incredible and the way that they created them to interact with was sweet. Great variety of tunes, not just the album version, but the different arrangements they pulled out as well. The Ghosts instrumental section blew me away. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of instrumental tunes they pulled out. All in all, another great NIN show. I haven't been disappointed yet. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 8:40am
trevor corey User Info... | .....nothing to do with the show, but, the frisking at the door was outrageous. I watched men feeling up women way to aggressively. By the time my wife and I got to the door, I had stared down the security so hard that the dude was afraid to check her. My wife diffused the situation by asking for a female to do the "pat down". What the hell is the point of patting down skin tight jeans? Gimme a break, and don't touch my woman. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 3:14pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | He probably knew you were about to pull out your shank and inflict multiple stab wounds. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 4:07pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | I take it you stabbed that dickweed several times in the throat after he tampered with your girl then? - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 6:05pm
Tyler User Info... | also nobody even checked my ticket or frisked my body down. they looked through my backpack, then let me through the gate. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 7:22pm
LilyVon User Info... | Yikes, which line were you in? I had some geeky young guy, who looked sheepish asking me if I minded being frisked by a man. I only had to unzip my hoodie and he asked if I had any smokes...Looks like you guys got the perv, in which case you should have stabbed him. I liked the show. It was my first NIN show and it was certainly entertaining. Not the best concert I've been to, but entertaining still. - Sat, 6 Dec 2008 7:28pm

Mofo User Info... | Ok, I've been to a shit-load of shows, & in way bigger venues than this. For the size of Save on Foods, they absoFUCKINlutely TORE SHIT UP! Instrumental segment was awesome; lights and artwork were brilliant in true Reznor fashion; only downfall was The Bug...I'm all for having an open mind art/music wise, but that shit was just a fat British chick screaming to record scratching.... NIN rocked, would go see them again in a heart beat *waiting half a fucking hour for a SINGLE beer? NEVER AGAIN. **waiting half-a-fucking-hour to have some fat, mouthy, goth bitch BUD in front of line and then suggest that she had a right to because she knew the cunt in front of me? NEVER AGAIN - Mon, 8 Dec 2008 12:25am Edited: Mon, 8 Dec 2008 12:42am
cattlelist User Info... | Never been much of a fan, would'nt travel to see em' but enjoyed enough of their material over the years to make it worth checking the show being as they bothered to bring it. I liked it, amazing entertainment. - Mon, 8 Dec 2008 6:56pm Edited: Mon, 8 Dec 2008 7:07pm
tito santana User Info... | i really think he should have played hurt himself. my only real complaint. other than that, the show blew me away.. although that was heavily influenced by mushrooms. - Tue, 9 Dec 2008 7:38am
