| Jesse | Well, to start things off halloween night at Dizzy's in Nanaimo Gallows End played, Totally fucking rocking metal band... Unfortunately there guitarist broke a string early on in there set (and me being the great guy that I am told him he couldnt borrow mine... Seeing as im still paying for it for the next 6 months) tried to hook him up with a string but it was too short. He just played on without it. But I guarantee they will slay the next show they play, Good to see more kickass metal bands out there. The next band up was Gross Misconduct... Seeing as im in the band I feel I shouldn't write too much but here goes. we played two songs and then our double bass pedal broke, Took a 10 minute break to get things fixed, Then played through our set. We had hoped to play a new song we've been working on but didn't feel comfortable enough with it at the time so decided not too, Hopefully we'll have it down for NoMeansNo at the queens on Nov. 21st (more shameless self promotion) next up was Seasons of Sorrow, If you haven't heard these guys you should check it out, Very hero-ific. They played a new song at the end of there set that definitely shows there progressive outlook. Also, They're the only band that didn't have technical difficulties! Some people get all the luck. Thats about it for the show, As for Halloween downtown it was full of drunk idiots trying to fight. Some overly manly guys took offense to my pink and white bunny rabbit suit and made some comments about them "catching gay" or something like that. I have to admit it was probably pretty funny to watch a 6' 2" bunny rabbit break up a fight by hauling ass at 2 guys and hurling em about 5 feet. | ML7Mike | Sounds cool.. dohh broken string, first show.. drag.. they learn early why to ALWAYS have at least one backup guitar and ALWAYS have brand new strings before a show. Well at least they had Aaron frontin for them.. I was bugging him about the fact that he has been in bands for years and keeps gettin stuck with first timers onstage .. happened when he sang for us too. | Legion User Info... | 'Show reviews' people, i think the fronting/fighting area of this site is labeled 'general chitchat'. All the bands rocked the fuck out at this show especially Gallows End. I would love to say that Gross Misconduct ruled but i'm still pissed at Jesse for raw doggin my asshole without even asking if i needed lube. thanks to him i have to stand here while i type this. If anyone wants a turn on my ass they'll have to wait until the lacerations to my hoop are healed up. Before i go i would like to say that the drummer for Gross Misconduct is a DIRTY GYPSY!!!! | I-BOMB-A-NATION | just wanted to say thanks for the comments about gallows end.It was pretty unprofessional of me to let one fucking string get in my way.Bad luck hit pretty hard though,there was supposed to be two back up guitars there for me, but it was my fault for relying on someone else to begin with. Anyways...Gallows end will be playing an all ages gig in victoria with the burnside brawlers on the 30th...I am not sure where this show is going to be, all I know is that it will be an all ager.
