| Grain fed User Info... | This show was classic... one of the best I've been to. Getting to hear Maestro was pretty sweet but meeting him after the show was way cooler. Ice and him are pretty cool people. Ice's drummer was straight Tommy Lee. Crazy drumming, flipin' sticks the whole time and the crowd was really good too. I was amazed at how many people payed $22.50 just to hear "Ice,Ice Baby" though. It seemed I heard people talk all night about how they wanted to hear that song and thought it was far from the highlight of the night. | Donnie Black | After the Flyers game, and about 8 drinks, I went down to the Stinky Wicket for some food and shite. I get down there, and remembered, "Shit, Vanilla Ice is tonight." Now I'm anything but a hip hop fan, but as a DJ, I've been force fed all kinds of music, and figured I gotta check it out. I'm a rock n' roller at heart, but what the fuck!? I shmoozed my way in, and watched the show from side stage. The place was fuckin hoppin' man! A plethera of free drinks, and I was having a blast seein' what this shit was all about. I did like the fact that Van Ice had his own drummer layin' down the beats. It made it live instead of kareoke. I mean, the Maestro Fresh dude wuz kareoke, but he was real fuckin' good too. A few years back I was given tickets to see Love Inc. with that Chris Shepperd DJ guy, and that was silly. This show though really impressed me, and the fact that there were a ton of underage girls backstage afterwards, was even funnier. I ain't gonna go out and buy any of their albums, but if you can ever stumble across free tickets or shit, go check it out. Even if it's not yer bag. - Fri, 2 May 2003 4:20pm | ||
