Anonymous I thought Chet was quite amazing, and Frog Eyes were really good too, although not as consistent in their goodness. Some songs were great and during those I couldn't help wondering how they aren't famous, but they seem to just fuck around a lot in some songs, and it makes me drift away and stop listening. Altogether fun night at "Logan's". - Sun, 20 Apr 2003 2:09pm
One of FE Hi guy,

If you're talking about the startlingly irritating meandering new age jam we came up with impromptu-like whereby Carey sung his love for Victoria:

We do apologize. It will never ever happen again.

Anonymous Also, One of FE, why don't you guys do The Fox speaks... like you do on the album. It's way better. - Mon, 21 Apr 2003 6:18pm
One of FE Well, the first CD was recorded with Spencer on keys. He left for Montreal and was replaced with Grayson who has a different style, it would seem. A lot of songs we play of the first CD sound quite a bit different.

Of course, that may also have to do with the (lack of?) engineering on the First CD, too...

GhstBuster Good show. I'll totally check out both bands the next time that they play. - Wed, 23 Apr 2003 1:20am
One of FE Although you'll likely be able to catch both acts before, both will be playing at the East Sooke RnR Fest July 26th or so this year.

You can email [email protected] for more info. Of course, I don't think there's too much info to be had until a month or so from now...

Anonymous Yeah, I think Grayson is terrific, but I'm talking about how live everything is waaay sped up, and instead of melodies, carey just yells and howls. The album's just more, uh, listenable... though I still do enjoy the shows. I'm looking forward to the new album. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:42am
Anonymous yes, where the fuck is this NEW RECORD??!@! - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 1:35pm
One of FE Hey guy,

Ya, some of our shows are rawer than others. Usually, the ones ones are at Thurs... I mean at Logan's... y'know, home town energy and all that. (Geez, makes me kinda miss Wozzle.)

New Record = um... maybe ready end of next week, like May 1 or 2.

Trust me, we're anxious also.

raphael nostos Or you could just read this:

"They [Xerxes' army] had just finished bridging the straits [of the Hellespont] when a violent storm erupted which completely smashed and destroyed everything.

This news made Xerxes furious. He ordered his men to give the Hellespont three hundred lashes and to sink a pair of shackles into the sea. I [Herodotus] once heard that he also dispatched men to brand the Hellespont as well. He made his men revile the sea in terms you would never hear from a Greek. 'Bitter water,' they said, 'this is your punishment for wronging your master when he did no wrong to you, with or without your consent. People are right not to sacrifice to a muddy, brackish stream like you!'"

alas if it wasn't for messina carthage, if not for messina! - Fri, 25 Apr 2003 5:40am
One of FE Oh ya, I forgot about Xerxes complicity in all of this.

Dammit.
