clayton | What a fucking great show. The bar was sold out by 11 with a fucking lineup outside for most of the night. Drank way too much. Two best rock n roll bands in this town, hands down. - Fri, 18 Apr 2003 1:27pm

Japanese Air Force | First time I've seen Moneyshot, which is pretty sad considering I've been here for so many years now. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I'd always pictured some crap ass thrash band, but they were fantastic. I'll be sure to check out another of their shows. Nice job guys! And of course, Grace put on a great show, as usual. I have a lot of respect for someone who goes out of their way to make the show a specticle for the crowd. A well-spent six bucks, imho. ~JAF - Fri, 18 Apr 2003 7:50pm

Anonymous | Actually smoking dope doesn't make you jealous or mean. - Mon, 21 Apr 2003 5:47pm
Anonymous | Amps to Eleven were great. They're a little younger and less experienced than moneyshot or Grace Nocturnal, but they have catchy, rockin songs and they play them well. Give em a few years. - Mon, 21 Apr 2003 7:06pm
ho hum | oh my god, please don't let grace nocturnal and moneyshot ever play at thursdays, our one and only sanctuary from boring radio schlock rock... - Tue, 22 Apr 2003 1:19pm

Bill | aren't you the same person that types that same response on every thread? Anonymous too? hmmmmmmmm? loser. - Wed, 23 Apr 2003 1:30pm
ho hum | Oh. Shows what I know. Still... And speaking of The Fine Options, what's with them: sometimes they seem sorta cool, then they go being the Zone band of the Month. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:52am
Anonymous | that's fickle it's so hard to be cool you should post your email so bands like the fine options can run their ideas by you, see if they pass the cool test - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 11:28am
MS.XXX | Hey Ho-Hum! Are you in a band?If so I would love to see how cool you really are.I know you'd never "sell out" and actually have your music on a radio station. What kind of fools want to be heard by the wider audience radio brings.Oh I know, every fucking band you've ever listened to you ignorant fuck.If you play somewhwere I'll show up just to see how pathetic you really are. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 11:42am
Mr. XXX | I remember talking to the fine options a long time ago and they said they hated the Zone, now they are on it. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 12:25pm
Anonymous | At least the Fine Options don't SUCK!!!! - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 1:23pm
ho hum | No, I'm sure they don't. Selling out may be justifiable if it's a good sale, you know, but becoming the Zone band of the month doesn't really make any sense. The Fine Options had it right to begin with. And I disagree that it's forbidden to judge a band on their actions and choices. Choosing the commercial radio route lumps them in with commercial radio bands, and (personally... get ready to get all offended) I rather dislike most of what I hear on commercial radio - it's boring. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:02pm
Anonymous | Agreed that commercial radio does suck, but how is becoming Zone Band of the Month selling out? Who cares? You get some radio play, you get a show a Steamers... what could you possibly find fault with? Good for The Fine Options and every other band who's been chosen. You've gotten what 100s of other bands only wish they could get... radio play and a headlining show. So ho-hum, quiet down son. Let them have their radio, and their Steamers. You can listen to Polish Mornings on CFUV and drink your beers at BBJs... where's there no chance of being exposed to sell outs like us. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:18pm
TFO | We definitely shared your concerns there ho-hum. But being as we are musicians, and thus (assumingly) make music, it's usually advantageous to have people hear said music, commercial radio or not. Now, furthermore, I certainly would not consider us a commercial band. Thus having a non-commercial radio type song on commercial radio is a victory for all of the DIY people out there, and helps break the monotony of the clones, at least in my humble opinion. Isolation, as the USA learned during ole WWII, does not lead to positive change. By involving ourselves in the machine known as commercial, hopefully we affect a transition towards a more open market of bands with even a smidge of originality to them. Hopefully you can be a bit more forgiving than your posts would hint towards. Being on the zone for ONE month has not done anything but made a few more people who don't possess the innate coolness to check out local bands on their own aware of what we are doing and hopefully excited to give more obscure acts a chance. - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:41pm
bert | rocks so important............ gonna change the world - Thu, 24 Apr 2003 2:53pm

Zone is just the Q in leather | Question: Does one have to apply to be the Zone band of the month or do they just pick you? Also can you be band of the month more than once? I sure hope so coz there aren't THAT many good bands in this town, maybe not even 12. - Thu, 8 May 2003 2:28pm
Anonymous | shut up - Fri, 9 May 2003 9:48pm
Anonymous | Shut up or I'll cut you. The Zone is the only hip thing this armpit of a town has going. And what's wrong with the Q? at least they celebrate the genius that is Don Henley. - Sat, 10 May 2003 12:21am
Holmes | "The Zone is the only hip thing this armpit of a town has going." If this is so, I am glad that 'hip' stopped being 'hip' 20 years ago and was replaced with "fuck off you parasites." H - Sat, 10 May 2003 11:31am
Holmes | "... people who don't possess the innate coolness to check out local bands" I'm glad that the concept of 'coolness' stopped being 'cool' 20 years ago and was replaced with "poseur indie chump." There is nothing intrinsically better about local bands. Some local bands suck, too. I dunno about this band 'cause I never heard of them. H - Sat, 10 May 2003 11:34am
