Sati User Info... | Descension was added and the other band didn't make it over the border. (Thanks, whoever let us know to update listings/let people know. Nothing sucks worse than people travelling long distances, cancelling work etc to see a particular band when they could've learned early on that the band isn't coming. We don't need even more people giving up on local shows or venues cuz of that ripped off feeling!) FINALLY got to see TB since they ran out of time & didn't play the Tendonitis show, and since they haven't played forever. We were saying it worked out ok cuz we got to see full, leisurely sets and actually hang out for a few after. I missed the start of Descension, disappointing cuz I really liked how they started last time, with a powerful, double vocal "poem" (he called it). I guess they hadn't anticipated playing beyond an opening set, cuz it was less theatrical than normal - last time the goats & candles looked killer. The new TB vocalist (from InfernalM) slayed because his voice cut through more clearly than their last, plus he came out later and played some decent guitar! As usual I caught some excellent guitaring from the other guys, but also as usual it wouldn't have mattered to me if there were a bunch of orangatangs swinging around in front of Matt. Really unfair cuz they're really good players, but... I have gushed many many times about this drummer and I've never been able to do him justice. Go see him. Stand side stage and watch, like the groupies did last night (TB groupies are all men. Large men who get in the way of site lines you f'n chapel pricks!!) Anyway, he's stoked about playing this stuff - you can see & hear it. Decent turnout, and I had a really fun time seeing a lot of the people out, but really, all the death/black bands who could've been there and weren't - complete bullshit. Maybe a lot were at 340 for cradle to grave etc, but I doubt a lot were there either. WEAK. If just one member of each band in each of these micro-scenes started coming out to shows, it'd show support & cameraderie and help everyone keep in touch and feel like we're all part of something that actually matters. Maybe you rockstars don't look at it this way, but there are a few hardcore fans who deserve YOUR support as well - that means showing up and hanging out with them and validating the fact that the metal in this city is worth more attention than just being a convenient place for non-metal fans to drink up & be annoying. - Sun, 20 Apr 2008 4:01pm Edited: Sun, 20 Apr 2008 4:04pm

yog sototh User Info... | I thought The show had a good turnout despite the fact that there were 4 other metalish types of shows going on that night, a really enthusiastic and responsive crowd. Quite successfull despite Morbosidads border troubles. - Thu, 24 Apr 2008 10:57am
J. Peatman User Info... | Never would I attend a show because I supposedly owe it to "the scene". That is utter bullshit. - Sat, 3 May 2008 9:08am Edited: Sat, 3 May 2008 9:09am
Sati User Info... | turnout's always good for tb shows. numbers weren't what i was referring to and thanks for twisting my intent around to something so... wierd. actually it never occurred to me that any of those guys would think this wouldn't be worth coming out for. tb shows have been pretty damn good in a lot of ways. - Sun, 4 May 2008 3:30am Edited: Sun, 4 May 2008 3:32am
