mike. User Info... | sick show. god-damn. - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 2:38pm
ty nasty User Info... | everybody fuckin played wicked, compound terror was so tight. I cant wait to play with them again - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 3:14pm
grindbastard User Info... | Yeah, that was a really fun time. Thanks to Camus for letting us play there and to everyone who gave money to keep the place open. More shows there or not, it's the kind of place Victoria should have. Here's what I saw: ____________________________________________________________ Six Brew Bantha: I was really impressed. Frantic and nasty. I think you guys are great without any vocals at all. The right person would be killer but still...godDAMN. Thrash Madonna: Sorry, brodudes. I had to leave to go pick up more of the crew. Next time. Blood Nasty: Yes Yes YES. This was my second time seeing those guys and it was even better than the first. A few vocal feedback problems throughout but they sounded great and were audible; if only just. Jeff is absolutely adorable wearing a bass. Us: Sorry. ____________________________________________________________ The early start with an early finish meant I could stay till the end, which is a feat considering the age of my balls. Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback and for the whole positive vibe in general. - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 5:38pm
Dave User Info... | I got to see SBB and TXMX. SBB = Holy shit, can you do it faster? Amazing. TXMX = You guys rocked even with out the skater jocks! and I dug the emcee action. I had to leave for another show before I could check out the other two. :( - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 5:58pm
Bryan User Info... | I'm obviously a bit biased having been watching SBB jam since their inception and having provided guest vocals to a few songs at this show, but they have continually blown me away and this show was no exception. TxMx are always good, I'm ridiculously happy with how fast they've gotten. Blood Nasty are always solid as well, and while not really my style I can certainly say I dug it. Compound Terror were just unfair, watching them was a reminder to us all that we suck at music compared to those three guys. The amount of amazing grindcore coming out of Victoria right now puts a gigantic smile on my face. The bookstore was an awesome venue as well, I really hope more shows go down there. - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 6:56pm
Brian VIHC User Info... | Thrashmadonna has got a lot of potential, but please ditch the weird rap kid ASAP. It doesn't count as rhyming to end every sentence with "shit". I think it would be kind of funny if "Camas" was actually called "Camus" - not entirely inappropriate but a little more bizarre. - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 7:50pm Edited: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 7:51pm
grindbastard User Info... | Huh, it is actually Camas. I've been pronouncing it Camus this whole time. Boy, is my existential face red. - Mon, 11 Feb 2008 10:01pm
KimberleyKaos User Info... | I checked this shit out, but from the outside as it was at capacity...no worries tho, had a sesh in the park, just like old times! - Tue, 12 Feb 2008 3:18pm
Nicholas Antoni Marek Gibas User Info... | Sixbrewbantha was awesome. Totally loved Mark screaming at the crowd instead of using a mic. I didn't get it at first and now thinking back on it, very epic. Killer Orchid cover too! Looking forward to seeing them again I went to get a bite to eat, so I missed Thrash Madonna and Blood Nasty. Sorry Tyler. Compound Terror is one of the best things I've heard in a long time from this island. Vote for "best new band". Fucking grind. ps: I can't believe I remembered that was a song by Regurgitate...! - Wed, 13 Feb 2008 1:49am
rip skinny User Info... | fun show, fatty turnout too. im pretty hyped on that venue, it had a warm vibe to it. thrash madonna once again played there best set to date, they get better every performance, ian seemed more comfortable and was doing a great job, excellent new songs that were really fast and just cut the shit. rad to see tyler playing bass with them, i think he will fill that spot nicely. blood nasty were tight and delivered straight the fuck ahead punk. compound terror... words are not an earthy enough form to describe so i wont even bother. only thing i can think of is "mind-fucking" - Wed, 13 Feb 2008 11:33am
