Spark | okay, went to steamers for my birthday party and had great fucking time although the hot tub party afterwards was kickass. Perfect strangers were great, excellent vocalist reminded me of Janis Joplin. Definetly a band to check out. Armchair Cynics were a bit dissapointing though. I had heard great things about these guys but I found they didn't stand out at all musically. straight forward soft alternative rock. Anyone else have an opinion on the show? - Sun, 9 Mar 2003 11:21pm
The Provider User Info... | Well Sparky, you know my opinion 'cause we talked about it at your party, (although nobody went into the hot tub, it was a blast) but I'll relay it to everyone else. Perfect Strangers has a good singer, but I found the music to generally be generic. That could be a good thing if that is the sound they are going for. Armchair Cynics, well I had heard a lot about these guys and I was pretty surprised that they didn't live up to it. I know they have a lot of fans but that band relied completely on their bass player. He is one of the better bassists I have seen locally and he gave the band a unique sound, but yeah. I know I sound like an asshole, but that's what I thought of the show. - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 1:36am
Anonymous | The bass player may be talented, but his uncoordinated body really, really detracts from the stage show. I found it really awkward to watch. He needs to start playing in front of a mirror to see what he looks like. This comment isn't meant to be malicious... I really believe that this is something that will keep the Cynics from fame and fortune. Right now it's like a car accident... you don't want to stare, but you can't look away. - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 11:39am
Anonymous | haha. i know now why they say bad press is better than no press! i'd check out that band just to see that bass player. - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 11:42am
Mike Steel | Yes, unfortunately for the homos obsessed with Aaron's charisma, he is not gay and definitely not looking for a boyfriend. - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 8:51pm
