The Other Nick User Info... | high on fire freaking slayed!!! 1000000 points!! THINGS THAT HAPPENED: 1 matt pike (the frontman) is a total manic. 2 sounded exactly like the albums 3 the vocal mix was poor..which sucked, but his vocals sound exactly the same live.. 4 the bass tone was so thick even without a rythem guitar when they went into solos, no momentum was lost 5 matt pike has inspirational command over the guitar 6 tons of energy for a 3 man simple band 7 matt pike was using an 8 or 9 string guitar!????? 4 normal strings...2 12 string style strings....AND STILL RIPPED IT UP LIKE A MANIAC WITH THE SOLOS...grabbing the crowd's hands DURING solos...while he just used his left hand.... 8 the show started early so i missed all the openers (colloseum, panther, mono (from japan???)) 9 high on fire fucking rocked - Thu, 25 Oct 2007 11:34pm

Sati User Info... | yet i turn the hate inward. was it comfortably loud, or painfully loud? I've heard richards excruciatingly loud to the point of leaving. I did not enjoy that. Something about live music pushed through club systems or some such? - Sat, 27 Oct 2007 4:15am
Kyle User Info... | High on Fire was FUCKING RAD... that guit he was playing is a 9-string custom from First Act. Pretty cool, and a great way to thicken up the leads. Must be a bitch to keep in tune though! And yeah it was pretty loud but not hurting. They don't have a lot of high end in their sound, which I'm sure helps. - Sat, 27 Oct 2007 12:03pm
