| ricky jak User Info... | Well it was good to see the Forge really hasn't changed much... I stood infront of a post for the first band. The new dancefloor is kinda cool but i don't do drugs so i recon i never will get the full effect the builders where trying to capture. Liquid.... DICK DALE!!! This old kook just went OFF! He was just twisting up that surf guitar! I saw him 14 years ago and don't remeber it beeing this good. I guess he just got better with age. The older the bulll the stiffer the..... Seriously i think this man is underrated and he should be playing bigger beaches. Dick is one of the inovators of surf guitar. His set was a mix of his classics and a handfull of covers. Some drumming some harmonica and some trumpet..... and alot of gum chewing!. He informed the audience that as long as he chewed gum he was busy... if he didn't chew gum maybe one of those young maidens... or Willy Jak in the front row would be in danger. He wanted the girls to be safe, he said he is a very sexual man and chewing gum got his mind off of the other thing. Kinda... he was kissin alot of girls that night. I sure hope when i get that old young 19 year olds will be interested.... wait I got daughters so that kinda changes it. SURF GUITAR... thats what I'm writing about. LEGEND DICK DALE!!! Now Chris Issac had his for fathers and Dick IS one of them... isn't it strange how Chris Issac fetched 50-100 dollars a ticket when this Dick Dale works his ass off for only $25 a ticket..... | T. Depression User Info... | I still can't get past the fact that the guy did a nude review in Las Vegas in the 70's, complete with panthers and shit. There's no denying that he was an innovator in surf and instro music.
