1986 User Info... | a bunch of us drove to calgary this weekend for this festival at the university BANDS THAT PLAYED: a bunch of local bands wolves in the throne room infernal majesty inquisition melechesh The university as a venue was suprisingly was really good idea, it was very fitting. The beer garden was really excellent. Was really impressed by the local opening bands (there was about 6 or so) Infernal Majesty was WAY better than i thought they would be...they were really tight for an older band. Inquisition wasn't very good though. Last time i saw them they put on a better show. They just weren't really into it. I left as soon as wolves in the throne room started playing and stayed for the entire melechesh set. All and all it could have been a better trip out to calgary...but it was good to meet a lot of cool calgary metalheads. . . . . . . . . . . . . MY REAL REVIEW: THE EXACT OPPOSITE IN EVERY WAY - Mon, 24 Sep 2007 7:08pm Edited: Mon, 24 Sep 2007 7:09pm

Sati User Info... | are you saying IM were NOT good? if so, how unfortunate. I've seen them not so great (a long time ago) and seen them quite good more recently. Did they get a new bass player, could that have done it? uuuuh, i don't get this review at all! did anyone sing? haha, just trying to make mr hell grouchy again - Wed, 26 Sep 2007 10:44pm Edited: Wed, 26 Sep 2007 10:46pm
Nicholas Antoni Marek Gibas User Info... | I had never heard Infernal Majesty before seeing them at this fest. They're not the kind of metal I like to associate myself with. - Thu, 27 Sep 2007 4:34pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | I personally really like Infernal Majesty's music. One of the guys on the bloodred forum said they had really bad problems hearing everything and was the reason for their apparently sloppiness. I wont hold it against them .. it's happened to me. - Thu, 27 Sep 2007 7:46pm
Sati User Info... | "They're not the kind of metal I like to associate myself with." HAHA! Maybe its old material vs newer, cuz there were parts of their set I didn't like either. And there were ebbs & flows as they warmed up/got tired cuz that DM stuff requires some athleticism, but when they nailed it.. wow. So wolves/melechesh, no? Inquisition was it? Damn that sounded like it should've been a good lineup. - Sun, 30 Sep 2007 12:38pm Edited: Sun, 30 Sep 2007 12:38pm
1986 User Info... | wolves 10000/10000 inquisition 7777777777/10000 melechesh ?????/10000 (we were still hypnotised from inquisition) - Tue, 2 Oct 2007 9:17pm
Nicholas Antoni Marek Gibas User Info... | Melechesh was like Nile but without the gayness. Still yeah Inquisition left me uninterested in other activities besides drinking that night. - Wed, 3 Oct 2007 12:35am
1986 User Info... | melechesh...actually has credability with the middle eastern theme......nile should stop being safe and branch out.... - Wed, 3 Oct 2007 5:50pm
Sati User Info... | long sigh. This is actually making me a little sad. I'd v. much like to see any of those bands. Can't believe I still haven't seen Nile. :( No wonder no one I know stays in town. I wonder if our lack of intriguing shows will change anytime in the foreseeable future. - Wed, 3 Oct 2007 11:19pm Edited: Wed, 3 Oct 2007 11:21pm
