fucking amazing show. the sound guy needs to wake up as little and mix the vocals and guitars properly and not just the bass and drums. but overall i was totally impressed

first the banned, fucking shredded my face and im really into them, amazing sound and msytified me how he kept his voice at that pitch and ferocity non fucking stop.

The Grey Army, loved em, always impress me live, short set but very satisfying.

on to the headliners, Static Thought. after just hearing these guys' debut CD hearing they were coming here i was fucking stoked, and they didnt let me down, from beginning to end they shredded through most of the songs off of "in the trenches" and oldie, and Brand new fucking blitzkrieg of fury and a near perfect cover of Minor Threats "filler" that had be flabbergasted. i didnt want them to end, but unfortunatly they did,m all in attendence were fucking on a tear and didnt want it to end either, unfortunatly curfew had to be kept. afterwords i got the chance to interview them all and as long as i get it all done up by tomorrow you can read it in the new Absolute Underground, hitting the fan next week.

for the downloadable PDF format check http://www.absoluteunderground.ca

i got a shitpile of video, im posting one on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/79ofspades

i got a few pictures, that i upped on Facebook [if your not a douche i dont mind being added but my name is very random and obscure....paul smith [i think if you search for absolute underground i come up]

i had an incredible time and was so bummed Action from toronto couldnt make it.

also i was saddened to see alot of the Grey army's fans leave before static thought even took the stage....i know it was a wednesday folks but what in the FUCK is wrong with you. - Thu, 2 Aug 2007 11:39pm

Yeah cheers to everyone who showed up on a wednesday, it was a fun show!! Also sad Action could't make it, blame vancouver and their show flaking out thus the other half of their gas money. They'll be back i'm SURE.

thanks to all who came out on rent day and made for one kick ass show. one of the best shows we have ever played hands down. lots of blood but a generally posi crowd. perfect.

we had our original drummer in from San Fran at just the right time to play this set so needless to say we were really stoked.

thanks scott.

on that note, no shows from us for a long time. drummer problems

the banned are the shit! look forward to more shows in the future.

static thought were really good too. i liked the last track they played. Blisters i think

if anyone has videos or pics from the set that they could forward to [email protected] that would be much appreciated. if its no hassle of course.

someone has to work on getting Action back. bummed on that

cheers - Mon, 6 Aug 2007 9:01pm
