It's very late (aka early), so I'm not going to describe things in any great detail, but what a wicked evening! Capacity crowd (with disappointed punks left outside as well), lots of grand music and an atmosphere of a large family get-together.

The book, and from what I heard of the CDs, the project is a massive success. For a few hours, while everyone waited for the music, all you saw were people reading into the little red book. Chairman Mao would have been proud.

Thanks all. A job very well done, and well worth the wait in all respects. - Sun, 29 Jul 2007 3:21am Edited: Sun, 29 Jul 2007 3:21am

Wow, it's difficult for me to put into words everything I took away from last night.

There was a tragic accident after the show involving one of the beloved old school punkers getting hit by a speeding car and I send all my best wishes to her for a speedy recovery and my condolences to the AYECH boys--Ricky, Jason, Kev--because the night was such a triumph it was sad to have everything overshadowed by this.

My friends.
It was so good to see all of the friends I had when I was younger and who I rarely see anymore but fall in love with again the moment we smile at each other.

Kudos to all the bands for stepping up and playing for a great cause last night--OUR scene. The place we grew up together.

Playing in Jerk-Ward was such an honor--those guys are alomost single-handedly the reason I play Hardcore.
Seeing Ricky living out a dream I know has been festering for 25 years was magical and having Kev Smith Join us was a semi-dream come true--we shoulda been on it and he shoulda been up there the whole set!
Steve and John... fuck it. What can I say?
There's no words, but I think you know. Sidney...

I'm not going to name check everyone who has made me so emotional today--strange that, usually I'm so steely!!--even though that's exactly what I wanna do, but thanks to everyone who was there and made that night--the underscore of such an achievement--so special and FUN! - Sun, 29 Jul 2007 12:28pm

It was Lady Di.... Mother of Marcus's first child. She is fine and has no broken bones or anything worse! I was relieved.

The show was fun and i saw many faces that made the scene back then. We sold about 160 books that night so we only have to sell 340 more to break even.... so go and buy some copies for your mom. at Ditch & Lyles and Richards Records or Mezzaros.... uhh the last two stores are history... read the book.

My head has been in a fog for a few days now but I do want to thank all who showed up and helped.... and I would like to apologize to those who came to the door and could not get in due to it beeing SOLD OUT.... fuckin punk rock these days eh!

It was an honor to replace my little brother as singer for JerK Ward and it was a mighty powerfull expierience. I'm glad those of you who saw it enjoyed..... it was kinda noisey though? anybody got any footage? put it on youtube?

Anyway its all done but the payin.... so all live each day to its fullest.... it wasn't time for Lady Di to go and i am VERY gratefull for that.... because i really missed seeing my little brother singin and Julian playin bass in JerK Ward and Android singin in HOC, and that freakin Rock-a-Billy guy Jerry Deighton should have been workin at the door taking tickets!

If I Focus on the posotive THE AYECH SHOW made my top ten GIGs ever!!!!!

THANK YOU -ricky - Mon, 30 Jul 2007 6:34pm

It was awe inspiring. All of it. The people who came out, the bands that played... The BOOK! I've read and re-read it a couple of times. It's essential.

Thanks to Jason, Kev, Ricky, Marcus and everyone else who put the book and show together.

I've got lots of pics to go through. I'll post a link to them when I get them out there. - Mon, 30 Jul 2007 7:19pm
