Mr. Hell User Info... | Haven't seen a listing here in Shameless so I'm going for it! Montreal rocker extrordinaires Priestess return to Victoria for a balls out, ass kicking night of skull warping rock n' roll! In support will be local riff-jackhammer operators Run Like Hell. Tickets are $15 and available at Lyle's and probably Ditch, although I'm not 100% sure about them being at Ditch. Go listen now! Priestess - http://www.myspace.com/priestessband Run Like Hell - http://www.myspace.com/56665810 plus another band to be announced - Fri, 6 Jul 2007 4:27pm Edited: Tue, 17 Jul 2007 4:56pm

Mr. Hell User Info... | Wow. What a strange night. We were on the stage plugging in the last of our pedal units for sound check and the lights went out. We figured we blew a fuse in the building, but it turned out that a few grids had gone and shut down parts of the city. Two and a half hours later after standing in the dark outside wondering what the fuck, the power came back on and the show hurriedly proceeded. Although I couldn't hear anything but drums, I felt our set went rather well. Good feedback about the sound out front and tightness (I followed Byron, so I hope that did the trick). Thanks to Doug for making us sound as good as we did under the circumstances! After our set, I caught a bit of Armchair Cynics set. They are definitely good at what they do. Not my cup of tea, but a lot of people in the crowd were excited to see them play. Some variety in a night is good so everyone gets a taste of what they want. Priestess were sounding heavy and gritty. Mikey's voice is just perfect for the dirty rock they project. My favorite tune of theirs has to be 'I Am The Night Color Me Black'. Just crushing...reminicient of Fast Eddie Clark era Motorhead. Overall a professional, crushing set. They seemed interested in having us open for them again next time, so I am looking forward to that! I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who stuck out the power outage!! I hope everyone felt it was worth the wait. And thank you to Atomique for giving us a shot at this show and not pulling the plug when it was looking grim. - Sun, 22 Jul 2007 1:50pm Edited: Mon, 23 Jul 2007 6:37am
trevor corey User Info... | I liked that new song they played last , but before the encore. They said it would be on the upcoming album. I too got the impression they were very impressed with Run Like Hell. Armchair Cynics are a good band too, seem to have talent. - Sun, 22 Jul 2007 10:46pm
