Jeff User Info... | Balls Out Face First (Edmonton) Crucial Change (Seattle) Ill Advised (vancouver/Seattle) Alternate Action (Vancouver) Iron Cross (Washington DC cum Baltimore) Balls Out Face First from Edmonton opened things up. they played fast agressive and threatening music to a receptive audience. A dedicated crew of 20 Edmontonians made it out for support. Crucial Change were up next. Every time I see them play they get better. A few covers of 80s Oi! were thrown into the set and the audience went off. Crucail Change will be releasing a new CD on DIM Records in the near future. Ill Advised had to cancel a couple of weeks previous. Sadly it sounds like they may have broken up. I was looking forward to seeing the Vancouver/Seattle HC supergroup with members of Blue Monday etc. It was really too bad. Alternate Action played next. Wow. They are the best Oi! band out there these days. I can't think of anyone who does it better. People were going crazy. They have a 10" on Narayan Records, and a second 7" from Longshot Records comming out very soon. Not suprising that Iron Cross got held at the border. The singer and guitar player made it across and managed to recruit a few bodies from the show to fill in on drums and bass. There were a couple of songs with Sab on stage solo with a guitar, and 3 songs as a 4 piece band: "Crucified", "Shadows in The Night" and "Live For Now". People made the best of a shitty situation. All told it was a great show. - Sun, 10 Jun 2007 10:33pm | ||
