Mr. Hell User Info... | So the show ended up starting at 9:30. Most excellent! No angry mobs. The crowd was a funny mix of familiar faces and Zone listeners who didn't seem sure what to make of us "regulars". I haven't experienced such great manners at a show, ever! Spread Eagle opened up the evening. Very fucking loud, sir. Three guitarists...a great trick for an opening band to pull to be louder than the headliners. Take note, Mr. Cox! Commence cloning. Good heavy rock with a mix of 70's and 80's rock metal swirled in. Some nice catchy passages were intertwined between solid riffs comprising the verses and choruses. The vocalist was mostly comparable to Danzig style-wise...but he did switch it up enough to get praise from me and no mocking. Did I mention loud? Pride Tiger are a band that I've heard much about. Make no mistake, they are tight and have some cinnamin guitaring going on. Drummer/vocalist is always a treat. The big problem I heard was the redundant beats that Matt would sing over. A lot of the songs blended together for me. Many others stated that Pride Tiger stole the show. Taste is a funny thing sometimes. By the time Priestess came on I was good and boozed. They were the perfect music for such a state! Great rythyms, simple hooks and very catchy vocals. Talk To Her and that Night song were THE shit for me (and most everyone else it seemed). There is no mistaking great songwriting. Nice, tasteful drum solo in there too. I was extremely happy with this show. No thinking required. Just Zone out and let the riffs compel you. - Sat, 31 Mar 2007 2:40am Edited: Sat, 31 Mar 2007 3:14am

GFY User Info... | I was really impressed with Spread Eagle...sorta like a real bad ass version of Lynard Skynard minus the keys! Loud as shit and got the crowd going. Pride Tiger were awesome, talent galore and great songs too. They have a good sound that will take them a long way! Can't wait till they return to Vic. Priestess being brought to the stage by Randy and Mr. Lahey was fucking cool! That little rap they did "Shit storm" classic. It was my first time seeing Priestess and I must admit they were pretty good. Vic certainly needs more shows like that! - Sun, 1 Apr 2007 2:13pm
