TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO COME TO SHOWS (even though i have no say whats so ever in who comes). PLEASE COME! i don't give a fuck who you are if you suport the bands come. But hardcore dancing involves kicking and punching (not directly at someone) but when people are runing around where other people are punching and kicking well...

P.S again i don't care if you have a mohawk or a shaved head, straight edge or drink(but dont get drunk at all ages shows). Come suport the bands, but remember in the pit there are people hardcore dancing (kicking and punchin air). If you watch out for me and don't run into me and push me, i will watch out for you. - Mon, 12 Feb 2007 4:13pm

Who was threatening people or trying to beat them up? I know that someone got hit while standing in the middle of the pit, and got pissed off and started punching people so he got taken outside. It wasn't anything about "not acting ilke us or believing the same shit as us" I think hardcore's all about thinking whatever you want, having your own beliefs and being able to express it. That's why I'm in a hardcore band. - Mon, 12 Feb 2007 9:39pm

I like Tyler Akis and the other dudes who came. It's sweet that you guys are into hardcore and can enjoy the show.

Hardcore dancing happens and the people who do it will get frusterated if there is a blundering drunk kid plowing around in their space. This is particularily evident when during one of the Van Isle Bobshreds, kids started stomping on everyone who got down for the sweet move.

Hardcore dancers try as hard as they can to mind their space, despite the small amount of room. You guys who push around tend to take up a bit more space and, as a result, end up knocking into a lot more people who aren't as down with that kind of thing.

I guess what I'm saying is we can respect each other. If you're more down with the oldschool, don't wander into the flailing arms of someone in the pit, and don't plow right into everyone in sight, and you'll find that nobody will be pissed off at you. And at the same time, it's not fair for people who are into hardcore dancing to set you as a target and come after you.

The more people who come out to shows, the better. This show had like an ideal turnout and it was sick.

Anyway this seems to be an issue that comes up at every hardcore show. It's not fair to bring it up as a main issue at this one; it was Tough As Nails' LAST SHOW. EVER! Ice Cold freaking got back together! talk about the bands and how sweet they were, how energetic everyone was, how everyone knew all the words to vanguard, that sort of thing! - Tue, 13 Feb 2007 2:50am

What show were you guys at? Cause I certainly didn't see anyone acting "tough" anyone threatening anyone or beating anyone. There was nothing like that at this show. All I seen were a room full of poeple having a shit load of fun , acting crazy and loosing them selves in the music and moment. I am sorry if you think were dicks but you should realize that YOU are the one, Tyler, that came to this show and judged us not the other way around, may I also remind you that one time I came and seen your band play and you made fun of me during your set. I am sorry that you see us acting silly as being confrontational. Do you really think that people would Knock down giant cardboard Yeti's , shoot silly string at each other and then get into two lines and immatate the sport of bobsleding, to show how "tough" we are . Get real. Everythere was just trying to have a good time . No one was judging you, no was threating you. I think it's really funny you how you guys keeping saying stuff like hardcore kids were judging you cause of how you look or whatever when you refer to them as jock asshole just because they were basket ball shorts or whatver. Again I am sorry that you didn't have a good time at the show, but the reality is your the ones being judgemental. - Tue, 13 Feb 2007 11:53am

Not that I found anyone threatening I can totally see where some might get the tough guy unfriendly vibe .I think you just got to understand its very aggressive music and people get into it. I didnt see what actually happened but if the guy was starting a fight, taking him outside and away from the other guy seems like a good idea to me. ice cold were one of my fav parts of the night but all the bands played great. - Tue, 13 Feb 2007 6:00pm
