Sati User Info... | I messed up and forgot to ask, so I'm not sure whether I can go to this yet, but its Monday and as I understand not sold out, in case anyone's interested. Should be awesome. Friends are stoked about Dark Tranquility. I saw a listing for an in-store autograph signing at Scrape too. - Sat, 7 Apr 2007 3:31pm Edited: Sat, 7 Apr 2007 3:32pm
Sati User Info... | I got to go... what a great metal wknd fri @ the cobalt, sat @ the balmoral, tonight at the ccc! Thanks everyone who was at those shows with me (a whole bunch of my favorite people), those were fun nights. As far as this one into eternity were one of the best times I've seen them. I'd forgotten how Stu's shrieks can bust out the lights. The Haunted mysteriously did nothing for me this time, but Dark Tranquility were really something awesome. At first I wasn't sure because they really do sound so foreign, and we were saying later that they come so close to being cheesy but then they take a quick turn. some real moments of excellence. And holy crap, I haven't been right in the midst of so many rabid fans in a while and I go to shows all the time. That band is adored. But this whole wknd people were especially amped, especially in the pits. good times. YAY! - Tue, 10 Apr 2007 12:35am Edited: Tue, 10 Apr 2007 12:40am
Tim-Bitchfork User Info... | I missed Scar Symmetry and Into Eternity, I am glad that I did. I am not a big Haunted fan, I only knew like 1/2 the set they did but they did put on a good show. Dark Tranquillity was way better, you can't describe an awesome show to someone and expect them to get it so lets just say they blew my mind. Pretty decent set song wise, less newer stuff woulda been nice but the new stuff they did were the cooler songs. Mikael had the most energy I've ever seen a metal vocalist have and the rest of the group was flawless even through some equipment problems and poor leveling of instruments, the keys were so quiet...I too was surprised there were so many fans, DT has never had a big following in my mind, I've loved them for years though, was surprising to me. Good times - Wed, 11 Apr 2007 3:52pm
