Anonymous | Ghost Town Drive = good classic rock riff licks. Threat of the end turn the suck meters up to 11. - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 4:27pm
- | the fucking peon soundguy (half-drunk, i might add) turns the suck up to 11 every night at thursdays - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 10:14pm
Anonymous | I agree he really sucked - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 11:02pm
Chris Logan User Info... | aww you are so meanie mean ... i am crying so much the tears are making my burger bun all soggy. i think i will go and kill myself. life is meaningless with out your acceptance. i wish you were my bestest friend in the whole school so we could race our big wheels and pull the lever to make it skid. but no, you are teasing me and i want my mom. love daniel . p.s. sorry chris, it says you wrote this valentine. o.k. joe . hey, does this mean i'm fired . - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 11:42pm
Anonymous | Dan is one of the best sound guys in Victoria and he does the best with what he has as far as sound equipment. Besides, sometimes no sound guy can make a bad band sound good. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 12:37am
Anonymous | you can't make a silk purse out of a TOTE bag. He he - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 3:21am
Chris Logan User Info... | I feel obliged to make it absolutely clear that the last message posted under my name was in fact sent by Dan the Man himself. I would also like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the show on Thursday, that TOTE came through on short notice and did us a big favor, and that Ghost Town Drive play the rock. I also feel obliged to point out that it's insulting to suggest that any of us at Thursdays ever work half drunk. Actually we are usually all completely piefaced on bourbon and a homemade cocktail of crystal meth and horse tranquilizers. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 3:23am
Anonymous | Hey Chris, how come your last post is 2 minutes after the one hacking TOTE? Nice. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 4:23am
Anonymous | BTW every band in Victoria knows that the sound sucks at Thursday's. Worse then our jam spaces. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 4:24am
RSBF | you're right, looks kinda fishy seeing a hack and then your post so close together in timing considering how many people actually post on this board at this time of the night. not nice if it's true Chris, considering our conversation this evening. nice to have met you regardless ; ) - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 4:30am
Chris Logan User Info... | Whoa, folks, back off. My post was made when it was because that was when I got off work. I also have a better sense of humor than whoever made the post just before me. I also always post under my own name, as anyone who visits this board regularly would know. The only reason I even made the stupid post was because Dan replied to the one hacking him when he was using my computer, hence there was a chance people who didn't read it carefully might've thought it was me. And if the sound here is worse than your jam space, feel free to continue playing in your jam space, dickhead. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 4:43am
RSBF | alright ; ) just was wonderin' Chris. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 11:12am
Aliasing Cocksmoker | Chris.. I have to agree man.. Thursdays has a bad rep for sound. Great place to hang out, worst siteline in town ( havent seen it since the stage I hear about ) and the sound blows. Sorry. Isnt it a Yorksville PA system? Anyhow, regardless.. But I still like the bar. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 12:52pm
Anonymous | Backoff! Get yer own sandwich! - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 1:07pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | Actually the sound at Thursdays used to be not that hot but then the bar got a new PA system and it hauls over the old one. With the higher stage the sightlines are better ... and from the looks of things thery're knocking out the wall that used to goto the pool tabel room. You people are all to negitive "soungarden rips us off, thursdays has shitty sound, steamers only plays hippie music, luckybar's a hallway" at least you have some live venues. If ya don't like it move to Kelowna ... and NEVER see a show in a bar again .. unless you want to drive out of town to the collage for a bar that's got a PA rivaled by most all ages shows in this town. Sorry for that rant =) - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 4:09pm
Ryan Bill Beattie | The sound at Thursdays is wonderful compared to most stages in this town. There resides the best monitor sound that I've played with (6 monitors: 3 front, 2 side and a drum wedge). why don't you poor-sappy-anger-ridden-hacks spend a bit less time blaming the venue and soundman, and try actually learning how to make YOURSELVES sound good on a stage. thank-you P.S.- i started this spool. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 10:27pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | Yeah me and Criss Crass caught the Ghost Town band but missed Threat. Sorry. The singer in the Ghost Town band told me that they make their real money as a The Doors cover band and try to get their own songs out there that way. He even looked vaguley like Jim Morrison. Either way they were good. Oh yeah after Threat left, me and Criss were the only ones there. - Sun, 9 Feb 2003 1:15pm
jrummer | I Liked the stage at thursdays and the bar staff was friendly. my only thing was that I think the monitors were off. Made it kinda hard to hear the rest of the band. But whatever I'm sure if the systems on it kicks! - Sun, 9 Feb 2003 1:35pm
Anonymous | We are just angry because there are no homie G bars around. - Sun, 9 Feb 2003 1:52pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | Yeah there is..... - Sun, 9 Feb 2003 2:01pm
Anonymous | No, there isn't. - Mon, 10 Feb 2003 1:00pm

Jay Watts User Info... | #1 - Dan's a wicked soundguy. #2 - We were passing through Regina on tour while our bassist slept in the van, and I saw a kid with a Ghost Town Drive shirt. I mocked him, snickered to myself and walked right into a concrete pillar. The band stinks, but in an almost endearing way - they're just stereotypical rock-dudes, cast from some mold that's been used time and time again across this continent. Ya know, fat bassist, long-haired singer playing the mysterious shaman-like conjurer of bluesy-belly howls. #3 - I've never seen Ghost Town Drive. #4 - Thursdays is one of the only bars I'm aware of that is lacking in the Sleazy Owner department. I very rarely get the feeling that any of the Logan brothers would wear more than three gold rings at one time, or might molest me in a park, whereas I can practically smell the rohypnol in the air when I walk into other bars in Victoria, which may or may not be operated by Russian mafioso, pedophile ringmasters, and/or alcoholic divorcee used car salesman sleazebags. - Mon, 10 Feb 2003 4:02pm
