| mattD User Info... | This show blew me away, would anyone else say that it was exceptional? The chemistry between the audience and the artists on stage seemed to be right on, something clicked, y'know? I hadn't seen Kia do her thing since way back when she opened for Blackalicious and Digable Planets, definitely dug her lyrical flow. Apparently I was into it enough that some guy up front next to me labelled me "her biggest fan" and all of a sudden she was giving me props, kinda flattering and bewildering at the same time. Burnt were the highlight for me, that loose kinda jam energy went straight through me. Musically they were really tight, and their Cali treatment of roots reggae fed my soul, man. I expect a full photo-report from Mr. Robson ;) ... other takers on this one? | kile User Info... | kia was pretty rad. burnt is one of my new favorite bands. not only are they amazing musicians, but very real people. one drop were douche bags as per usual and ripped it up! i found the audience was way brutal during onedrop though...kind of weird for the victoriabcskasociety show vibe. rad show - Tue, 28 Nov 2006 2:49pm | ||
