Hoyl shit this was a great show (minus the cops).
But yeah great job.

No Holding Back - See they played "where egels dare" b ythe misfits and that fucing ruled butts. So they played really well.

Grey Army - Waht the fuc? I missed it. One of my very very favourite victoria bands and I fucing missed 'em. I'm still pissed about that but bryce said they did a tubular job!

Switch Blade Valintines - Yeah no dissapointment fro mthese guys. Never. They played a great set tons of fun, everyone movin'. Overall a wicked job.

Regulations - One of the very best bands I've ever seen. They fucing slay - germs meets circle jerks meets minor threat. they raped my butt and then murdered it, after that they ate my rotting corpse! Great fucing job! Come back to Cananda again!

Tough As Nails - Didn't catch these guys, but I was told they played a good set!

salm on, the show slayed. - Sat, 14 Oct 2006 8:02am

Awesome show. I must say, thanks to everyone who helped out, and there were a lot and I do not know all of your names. It couldn't have gone so well without everyones help. There were the cops, and a couple dumbass moves by a couple people, but all in all I thought it ruled. I cannot really review the bands, because I was busy running around keeping things rollin. The Regulations were great though, I did get to catch a bit of their set. Good turn out, I mean really good!! Lots of new faces, people I have never even seen around town, hope to see you guys out at lots more shows!! - Sat, 14 Oct 2006 7:01pm

Regulations RULE! I knew it going into the show, but seeing them shred the Sunset Room sealed the deal. How Swede it is!
A bonus was Havok having a mobile record store there. Got some sweet vinyl.
The only drawback was Switchblade Valentines... Don't get me wrong, they're great but their set just changed the energy of the show right in the middle (and might have been a tad long). Otherwise, it was a great time! - Sat, 14 Oct 2006 8:44pm

Thanks a lot to every one for coming out, and to all the local bands that were great!
and chuck you are right we could not have done this with out all the help from every one, this is great to see community and freinds come togeather and makes me glad I live in victoria.
But more than any thing though, I could not have done this with out chuck! Fuck man you helped so much you completely saved the day for me so many times!
Also ausin, dana, rayne, zeff, luke, brian, dan, katherin, and every one else that helped so much, thank you all!

There was however some problems, mainly every thing was cool, people were just having fun till the cops showed up. From my understanding they came cause of people drinking in plain sight, not hiding it, remeber this. It seamed to me every one was cool with it though, no problems till they came, then some people started becoming beligerant (hope I spelled that roiht) I had to kick a few pwople out, they talked of me giving in to the pigs, but the reallity is they treated us all like shit and refused to not drink there even though they were putting the entire show at risk.
But I liked how so many people pitched in to help and most people were real respectfull, and simply left or hid their beer well.
In the future though, if the poster sais no booze, don't bring any.
And if you are drinking at a show keep it out of sight, as well as if you see people in groups in plain veiw ask them to move to where the pigs won't see them.

Again thak yopu to every one, the great bands, the great kids, the great distros. And esspecailly chuck.
while it sucked that no jello biafra tickets sold, it was kool that it seamed to be cause every one was out of money from all the records they bought! and all the vegan food donations will go so far for Food Not Bombs towards helping feed more people healthy food. Thanks!

On one last note, Allan from defiance was prick to a lot of people there, he is now permanantly banned from all my shows. You wanna come to my shows and hang out cutting down and lipping off every one, fuck you! You wanna come to my shows and threaten me, fuck you! you are scum, no one in this scene owes yopu any thing so get over your self... You do nothing but try to fuck over all ages shows and ruin the good time for the kids so fuck you! If you do not like the way I set up shows, go ahead set up better ones, but I doubt you will you are a stupid fuck, a looser, who is washed up and has nothing better to do than show up to all ages shows and lip off kids... You wanna say some thing to me poersonally, then I can be found almost every day at the library, I am super easy to find, my e mail is [email protected] come find me. You are a peice of fucking work, I don't get what you got to proove, or why you care so much about how punk rock you look, sorry punx rawk...Saying I pretend to be homeless, that I am making money off kids and ripping off the bands, fuck you, I loose money on these shows, and was working t subway to be able to afford to put on these shows, and I sure as fuck don't see you doing it, where is all the all ages shows you are putting on??? You say I know nothing about food not bombs, well I been organizing for over a year, doing benefits, cooking every weekend, finding kitchens and donating my time and money to them, and I aint seen you there once. You never come to kitchens, you were not at the benefit for them, or the anarchist book fair, you are all talk, a no body looser, get out of our scene you do nothing for it. FUCK YOU ALLAN! you are permanantly banned from noise not bombs
good night... and thak you every one, except allan. - Sun, 15 Oct 2006 11:27pm

"Regrets... I've had a few."
I chose to go with my comfort zone and checked out the Subhumans the next night. Ahhhhh the Subhumans. I was standing in this bar-room watching and singing along to a band that was so important to me back when i was 15/16 years old. Then it dawned on me why aren't The Subhumans playing an ALL AGES SHOW?...
Personally i quit going to All AGE shows 10 years ago because.... I just didn't fit in anymore. So i was goin to try to break the ice last weekend and check out the Regulations but again like i said I chose comfort and went to the Subhumans.

But.... The Subhumans in 1981 packed the OAP hall and it was a ALL AGER. With tons of people "ALL AGES" It was a great time to be a punk. But it's still a great time to be a punk I recon.... For me it was a being 16 and saying "Fuck You". But heck i was 16.... now I'm mid life.

and yes there is always guys like Allan in every scene, job, church, sports areana, or country. we are humans..... the worst and most dangerous thing God or Darwin ever put on this planet... snicker stirrin the pot of thought here. but as soon as I let go and stopped beeing an Allan and realized I couldn't have it "My Way" my life became easier and happier and maybe just a "little less punk?" But Hey NNB and Conrad sounds like your doin a good thing and yes I know lots of guys who shelled out thier time and money for what they believed in. I do it every day... I have three kids! This is good. I'll try to support a show of yours soon. Even though I do sometimes bore of anything new coming out of the punk scene because after 25 years of punk "I'VE HEARD IT BEFORE"

But hey the "Free The Five".... benefit gig at the OAP with locals Red Tide and the Dead Kennedys..... ahhhhhhh shit that was 20 years ago.

Babbin on here! I was just trying to say it would might have been nice to see the Subhumans play and ALL AGER again.

No cordel the tall guy was kenny, and he isn't allowed at these shows any more either, after attacking a guy in the pit and all, then threatening to fire bomb the place cause we kicked him and bud out.
As for the subhumans, they were great, and they will be back playing all agers, they played all ages in van for distort fest... I was in talks with them about this show but the other promoter got it booked first, and I am in talks with them about an all ager in the spring here in victoria. Brian told me they prefer to play all ages show. can't wait.
Also I know there is not that much new sounds in punk after years, which is sad, most bands don't even try but there are some gooders, like leper, one of the most creative bands out there, or mouth sewn shut, or wantmonster. - Tue, 17 Oct 2006 6:03pm

Yeah, I don't know who this Allen fellow is, but sure were enough dicks at this show.
Great show, regulations blew me away, way better than I thought they were gonna be, made me sad I didnt save no money to buy a tape... Ah well, there's always mail order. Switchblades were sick, finally bought myself their cd, I really thought their singer was gonna end up with a mouthful-o-mic, oh well, next show. Grey army were fucking WICKED, havent seen them since before their hiatus shit... Fuckin intense, singer was goin so hard it looked like he was gonna puke. Tough as nails, not really my thing, but great nonetheless, dunno if I'd have em headin that show though... No holding back: Who knew a misfits song could sound so good. A helluva lot better than the last time I've seen em. Good shit.

Glad too know I might SOMEDAY see the subhumans, I got a bunch of shitty ass recordings of them off my dads ex girlfriend and I was hooked... I thought they broke up and shit, glad to see there back playin shows.
Haha kenny... "This place is run by skinheads!" I don't think conrad is what I would call a skinhead... Meh, anyways, amazing show, not amazing crap happening at it, saw lots of people I didnt think would be at the show, and got to show off my new boots. Woo woo woo! - Wed, 18 Oct 2006 7:16pm

So I'm curious about whether or not people live on those houseboats down below the venue by the docks. I imagine someone does, and if this is the case then they're probably calling and complaining about the noise of people hanging around outside. If they keep complaining, whoever runs the venue will stop allowing punk shows (or any shows), just like Little Fernwood and countless others. - Thu, 19 Oct 2006 2:48pm
