I just wanted to say I had an awesome time at dizzy's lastnight. All three bands were great. I was expecially impressed with Gross Misconduct's drummer. He's an awesome drummer. Looking forward to you guys coming down here to play. Maybe this time we can drive you home ;) By the way RSBF and I had a blast with all the boys. Looking forward to doing it again. - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 9:17pm

Threat of the end were better than I expected, Monica is a great singer. I liked Gross Misconduct's set, they shred. Gallow's End were tight and they had incredible sound, hope the five people left appreciated it. Oh and thanks for the ride Monica. - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 11:32pm

This is the first time seeing Threat of the End and I was stoked to have my expectations surpassed. They were tight unlike the other past posts I have read, Monicas vocals were powerful and the Band had a good solid heavy sound. Gross Misconduct played the best sounding set I have heard from them yet. Definitely a premier metal act in the making. Check em out! Then we played and the Gods smiled...Thanks to those who came out to the show!ANYWAY. After the show the club handed me $195(all the door money) and then 2 bouncers came to me to 'settle up' on behalf of the 'promotor' They told me they wanted $100 plus 20%. I said for what? They told me Black Magic Entertainment put up 20 posters!!!!!! I gave them $40 (20%)and said go fuck yourselves. The bands split the remaining $155. Bands dont get paid if they dont show up and do their job so neither should promotors. 20 posters!!! A fucking joke. Its too bad. Dizzys is a great bar, has sound that rivals Soundgardens, good location and great staff. This 'promotor' is going to put this bar out of business! Phone Dizzys after 7pm, ask for the Frenchman (as he calls himself) or the owner, set your show up that way, and do your own promotion. I look forward to playing there again when it is done right. Trust me, Black Magic to promote and attract people to your show is about as effective as scratching is for getting rid of headlice..... - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 2:44pm

Ahh yes first off, thanks to the "Victorians" for getting us on the bill. Unfortunately I was coming and going for most of TOE's set, but from what I saw, I was impressed. Monica, you've got good stage presence and charisma, not to mention a good set of pipes. Haha, my performance was sloppier than a ravaged whore, but thanks for the compliments nonetheless. Gallows End, you fucking guys kick ass. Putting the rock back into rocking the fuck out. As for the Black Magic situation, I think that the promoter needs to be informed as to what kind of crowd shows up before he dictates who gets what and how much. He's based out of Vancouver and is used to promoting for Vancouver bars and probably has no idea what kind of crowds show up at Dizzy's. Oh yeah and the afterparty was quite the sausage party; I felt like I was in a deli. Whatever, good times, thanks for the beer Karl. We should do this again, only on your home turf next time. - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 3:53pm

I for one look very much forward to that. As metal fans who have seen both GE and GM would agree our styles are very complimentary! I was pretty stoked when you guys ended up playing. - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 4:16pm
Ben The Great I was the bass tech for howie and got to see the show from the "skybox". Very nice Venue. First band was ok, save the singer. Hilariousness ensued when the drunken native did his rain dance in the middle of the set, and then got thrown out for trying to climb onstage. Gross misconduct ripped shit up and gallows end was pissed by the time they got up... Howie, put the beer down while you play. awesome show, the bands and their buddies enjoyed it, but i dont think anyone else was there. looking forward to the next shows. - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 4:40pm

yeah.. I think we all were pretty goddamn intoxicated... At least it dulled the pain when howie jabbed me in the head with his head stock (revenge from the brentwood show I guess).
But yeah... we definetely need to get a metal all ager at the sound garden happening before the band goes into hibernation for song writing and recording purposes.

Thanx to all who came out to the show. - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 4:50pm

a big **THANK YOU** goes out to Jesse of Gross Misconduct and well..... all the GM guys in fact for playing on such short notice. was so happy to have met you all finally ; ) what a great venue - nice stage - wicked sound and i love the glassed in smoking area that looks over the whole bar - totally sweet. almost like watching a hockey game or curling or something hahahaha. great seating and sexy bar staff - eh guys??

we had a great time playing our first out-of-town show and i must say i enjoyed the mini-mosh pit some of you boys created and of course, the Victoria-bum who was dancing up a storm until i asked him if he was from Vic and he thought it was an invite on stage. he woulda had a nice boot to the face though if he got any further ; )

more Vic bands should play up there!! - perhaps we can create an island circuit to make it all worthwhile...... Dizzy's needs better promo though.

harley and i enjoyed having so many boys to ourselves back at the motel - sorry guys - it was all about us ; ) when we all play together again in Vic we'll make it up to ya! promise! Janos, can't believe you left, harley was disappointed.

thank you for the warmth cuddle-bug ; ) - Mon, 3 Feb 2003 1:18am

Yeah, the show was decent but the Scout Hut was waaaaay better...mainly because the promotion was rather chaotic and the volume levels were just a little bit too high, but each band was fuckin' rad, I had a great time moshing around and the most embarassing time covering 'Angel of death'....but I won't get into that... - Mon, 3 Feb 2003 3:55am

Youre right Monica, Victorians should take the opportunity to play at Dizzys. Its awesome. Book through the Frenchman or the owner though. NOT WITH BME!!!! And for gawd sake promote it yourself. We played there back on Halloween too and it was great! And Adrian hardly embarassed himself with doing Angel of Death. My circulatory system is still correcting itself after those blood curdling screams!!! - Mon, 3 Feb 2003 9:35am
