What did you think? - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 2:58am
rounder Veronica Tangent is always a pleasure. Her music has that really clean sixties feel, like an episode of "I dream of jeannie" (and i mean that as a compliment), with a real naughty edge. It was the night of the kick ass bassists - her band is really tight. Of course, my awe was properly removed when her guitar player fell through the boarded off wall after the show...
Removal pretty much blew me away - heavy punk sound with no vocals. The idea of no vocals is intriguing - seems to take the presssure off writing great music - and no annoying mic stands in the way. They had a Wright brothers kind of presence and the projected images was a nice touch. I dont think I'll miss any more of their shows. - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 10:44am
Slayer Veronica Tangent is all about sex appeal. Nothing more - Nothing Less. - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 12:43pm

I cant believe I missed Removal I love those guys they fucking rule. I think the No Means No influence would be because they are all buddies. I think the drummer from Removal plays for the Hanson Brothers as well actually. - Sat, 1 Feb 2003 4:47pm
steve He does play for the Bros. Great show! - Mon, 3 Feb 2003 12:05am
removal of the flakes i was at this show and i thought the Shitties were cool in a dayglo's kinda way. however, what the fuck is this veronica tangent doing on the bill?!!
she is crap...an embarassment to female singers who are trying to do something in this town. Her flakey band mates did nothing to entertain and i found it uncomfortable to watch the set so i escaped for a smoke. Also , her sickly appearance is definitely NOT sexy and her singing is painfull to hear...sound harsh? go see the next gig and tell me what you think. REMOVAL were one of the best recent sets ive seen! you MUST go see them next time if you want to see a great band! the Edgar Winter (FRAKENSTEIN)cover at the end was a real treat for all in attendance! see you at thier next gig!

Granted the Tangent set was not one of their best; they appear to have yet another new bass player, but they are usually much better. As for why were they on the bill? The evening in question was their booking and when Removal wanted to play Thursday's VT agreed to share the bill with them and give them the top spot which I thought was nice of them (they are actually really nice folks). The Shittys were great/terrible and Removal at their techno-metal best. - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 2:56pm
Anonymous I have to agree with zippy here. VT has gone through some big changes in line up recently and are going to need some time to gel, they are really good people, I seen them put on some great shows and regardless of what you may think you can't lump her in with any of the typically folky or "alternative" female preformers in this town. Pretty unique in my opinion. - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 6:21pm
Anonymous Looking for unique? I saw a new band called Threat of the End and their female singer is so different from anything in this city. - Fri, 7 Feb 2003 6:30pm
Anonymous I know what you mean (seen them once) but the band behind her has a long way to go before I think I'll enjoy seeing their show again. - Sat, 8 Feb 2003 1:13pm
Anonymous Veronica Tangent is interesting. nice girl too. Her bandmates aren't total flakes though. - Wed, 12 Feb 2003 8:56pm

Mythic No offence, but I'd like to stick it in Veronica Tangent's ass; over and over and over and over again. - Mon, 17 Feb 2003 12:56am
