Not surprised of course by the Dayglos (had one of the best times watching them ever though!), but really quite blown away by Sip Yek Nom. Too bad that Lucky can't explain how the system works to new employees before the show starts. I'm sure there is a reason they keep coming back. Oh and.. Lucky bar recently got a new Bar Manager, and also has had a number of staff changes over the last year. | THE JAK User Info... | when you sign a contract with a band that says you will pay them x amount of money and provide them with x amount of beer then maybe you should make good on the promise that you made.Call us rockstars all you want if you've ever been to one of our shows you would know that half the reason we want the beer on stage is because it's part of the show...our singer is always handin beer out and shit like that....oh yeah ,there's a reason we play lucky bar 30 times in the last five minutes or whatever that dude said and thats because we make that dive ALOT of money each and every time we play there....having said that i dont think it's alot to ask for them to make good on the deal we made....which they did eventually do so.....whats the problem here anyway - Mon, 17 Jul 2006 11:57am | ||
| Sati User Info... | Well yuk. I was hoping someone would write something about how the bands played. I don't always enjoy Dayglos shows as much cuz sometimes I can't see shit and sometimes the crowds are obnoxious. And sometimes they are, ha! But this time was awesome and I could hear everything too and you played wicked. If one of his guitar solos just never ended one day I'd be in heaven. But I really hoped someone would chime in about Sip Yek Nom. I'd missed them a bunch of times and had people calling me an idiot for it, and they turned out to be right. I could see how a lot of punks may not like them cuz they get way more diverse than most one-dimensional punk bands, but I like bands with the balls to go all out and take chances like that.
