Tyler User Info... | I LOVE this sort of music and not a lot of people are doing it like this. Funk horn lines, smoooth keys, and a sort of house groove lining it all. Kind of like Jamiroquai on the first few albums. This show had me grinning nearly constantly from how great it was. The sax and trumpet players were really talented improvisers and there was just this ENERGY the whole time. Lots of people dancing and talking and having fun. It's what I like to see. I picked up the EP, haven't listened but I don't have high hopes since I know Moses Mayes' newer stuff has vocals and a different sound that is more distant from the funk groove long instrumentals. It's all I had money for. I really need those first two full length albums. Anyway I think this band is amazing and I consider myself a fan, that statement has been nailed in because of this show. - Fri, 30 Jun 2006 2:34am | ||
