Masturbating The War God User Info... | To those who missed it, fuck, what a show! Missed Berzerker due to driving around Seattle looking for Gracelands, so I have nothing good or bad to say about their set. SYL - View number 4, it was the shortest time I've seen them be on a stage, the bar was crowded and I couldn't see a fucking thing minus Devy's bald head poking out from a sea of people in the bar. They sounded great though, their set just wasn't long enough but that's ok, I'll be seeing them again soon. Dark Tranquility - I honastly yawned 15+ times during their set, I wasn't into them at all. They had a few tasty guitar riffs, but otherwizse totally boring in my opinion, and not to mention that I was right in front of the vocalist and he kept grabbing his crotch every free chance he had! He made Micheal Jackson look tame, haha. The keyboardist looked more bored than me though! So after DT was out of the way, good old Napalm Death took the stage! I don't know much about them and had only heard them a few times(I know, sacraligious), but what I saw I definatly liked. Great energy, great topics, smart guys, good times. One of the guitarists was wearing an All Mighty Punch drunk shirt, heh. They played for an hour almost I think, lots of songs off many albums. So ya, thumbs up for them. And lastly, the show stealers, Nile. I thought that they were good when I saw them in Holland, but fuck they put that show to shame. They must have played for well over an hour, non- stop, fucking crazy intense and fast and furious! Wow, all day today from the drive to Victoria from Seattle is was all about Nile, we all had songs stuck in our heads :D One of my favorite songs, MTWG was played, fucken eh, Ramses, Howling of the Jin and so many more. Their stage presence rocked, I was front and center, head banging away(neck is so sore todaY!), I got my fingers tangled in Jon's hair by accident! The sound these guys produce is amazing, I am still blown away by their show. Bet band I've seen live no doubt! If you've never checkout out Nile you should! One downfall of the show was the idiot guys behind me, throwing their fists in my face and using my head as an armrest, then running at me full force to try and knock me out of my position, but soon after throwing his arm off me a few times, kicking the asshole, and then yelling at him and punching him and Matt getting involved, trouble was averted. And the bar emploies seemed to have a few things up their asses, but oh well, it wasa packed bar full of metalheads. Hey Sara, I didn't see you there, what did you think of the entire show? The theme of the night I think was balding men, every band had a balding member! (did berzerker) Walked away with a Nile hoodie and a free sticker. Ahh, I love being trendy and showing off to all the seattle kids. I know this should also been in the Review section, but more traffic in this spot! - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 7:58pm
matt t User Info... | Was awesome. No complaints about the weekend, my non band highlight were me and karl eating at the mexican place and then puking 20 minutes later just before the show. Fuck it was a good show, only saw the last song and a half by bezerker, they seemed pretty good. Dark T totally fucking blew. Nile is the best band ive ever seen play I think. - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 8:05pm

pserah User Info... | denise, i was to over to the right of the stage. i missed berzerker too (due to thinking that there was no way in hell that the show was REALLY going to start @ 8:00) i heard they fucking ripped though, despite their use of a drum machine (not my words). though, i was really dissapointed that strapping played (i was told that they had cancelled) and have nothing more to say regarding their set. dark tranquilty = yawn. i watched the first 5 minutes of their performance, sadly, just enough time to catch their vocalist's kickass dance routine. then, proceeded to meet up with some old friends out in the hallway, whom had also made an escape (however, they were smart and had been standing there since strapping started playing)then we proceeded to discuss how appalling it was that there were such an abundance of flame beanies (touques) in the audience. good thing we made it back in time to see napalm death. i can now die happy having seen them play that .7 second blast. i didn't think they'd do it, but they did. man that rocked. now on to nile, unfortunately, the party i was with were not down for staying for nile, they would be the ones yelling out at the side of the stage "damn! The Mummy Returns was such a kickass movie, i should write a song about it too!" and "maybe instead of spending so much time lifting weights, you should be looking to get another singer who doesn't sound the same as the other ones!" yep. my friends are assholes. anyways, we left somewhere towards the end of their fourth song to go get drunk (nile will play again, they always do). did anyone know that jack daniel's is making this shit called Hard Cola?! it tastes just like flat pepsi! imagine if you could get drunk off flat pepsi! all in all, it was a good night. in the end i got drunk and passed out watching g n' r's 'welcome to the videos' over in lake city. sweeeeeeet. where'd you guys go? - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 10:51pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | we went driving somewhere, drank some beer and slept in the car! My neck hurts! Haha, they can say what they want about Nile, they still kick ass! Are you going to Dying Fetus?? - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 11:58pm
pserah User Info... | hopefully. yeah, probably. i already told some people that i'd meet up with them for some post-show partying. so i guess i'm committed. hahaha. mike hates nile so much now, he gave me his shirt from the show we saw them play 3 years ago. score! too bad that i live by such a ridgid set of standards, as to where i cannot possibly ever wear it knowing that more than 5 people own the same one. to do so would not be "tr00" or "elite". (sadly, the same fate befell my whisper suppremancy longsleeve) - Tue, 28 Jan 2003 12:03am
