WOW! what a great time! i've never been to an all-ages show at The Pandora Project, let alone a cancer benefit of this sort - i am so happy i went.

not normally my scene BUT, i was hugely impressed by the bands that participated - i'll definitely go to more punk shows after seeing all these bands. the kids that were there watching and moshing provided much entertainment too - crazy kids having such a good time!

'Blind Mark' (as they call him) is SUCH a huge talent. the guy sings AND plays drums - kicking ass at both - and he can't see. now is that inspirational or what?! just a little reminder that anyone can do anything...... gawd, a BLIND drummer - too cool.

Jay Brown - holy christ you're an exceptionally amazing drummer to watch. no offense, but i hadn't expected you'd be as good as what i saw and heard. i remember someone on this board hacking you, saying that punk drumming is easy. that person can kiss my ass cause what you did up there was mind-blowing..... like can you say 'perfect meter'? AWT is a band i'm going to check out more often - ROSS B AY mentioned that a few of the songs were new, and that metal infuenced one you did is definitely an easy favourite. cool to see Roy up on stage - i went to school with that fucker - GO HABS GO!

i used to work with Marty - drummer of The Sweathogs - never knew that guy could drum! Marty you RAWK!

Moneyshot did a bunch of songs i have never heard before so that was a treat - too bad you didn't do Paradise City all the way through.... freaking sounded GREAT.

the other bands playing at this thing were fun to watch too. Now I can put faces and sounds to the names - now that I've heard 'em finally.

oh ya, and lastly, i got on TV for being there thanks to Eric of The New VI - musta been the hairdo ; ) - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 1:36am

I was informed by some fellow Nanaimoites that I was on TV, but did not see it myself. What a pity. - Wed, 29 Jan 2003 12:35am
